Back in the day, Jimmy Johnson bullied Janice Joplin

Yeah, but Lu, you do on occasion give the STANK EYE!

Kinda sideways . . . and I still don't understand how long you can stare so long and not blink.

She was nasty on the eyes and that rough voice was not for me though I get the talent. She was part of Big Brother & the Holding Company at Woodstock I think.

I don’t buy this ****. Jimmy wasn’t even famous when she was alive.

Appreciate the backstory bro. I am sure she was talented, but if she has beef with Jimmy. She has beef with me!

Jimmy Johnson was born in Port Arthur Texas and he did go to high school with Janis Joplin. thats a true fact. here's another interesting fact about JJ .. he started his coaching career as an assistant at Louisiana Tech after playing on a national championship team at Arkansas in 1964. JJ recruited Terry Bradshaw at La Tech. how about that ?

The era of retroactive justice & fake outrage smfh...

And what exactly do they want us to do with this information, that probably isn't true & is more than likely a completely twisted recount of what actually happened.

Should we dig her up & ask her dead skeleton if this is true? Should we hold a seance with her spirit in the after life to see if she can corroborate this story???

GTFOH with this horsesh*t to whoever decided to write that in a book.

And I've got nothing against Joplin, she was a phenomenal singer & great talent, a legend in her era of music, but she passed away a long long time ago & this is ridiculous trying to throw that on Jimmy... 60 years later.
Lol she wrote take another little piece of my heart about Jimmy and his crew. Smh
No she didn't. Where did you come up with such trash. It was written by Bert Berns and Jerry Ragovey and the original and much better version was sung by Aretha Franklin's sister, Erma. And it was a hundred times better than that squeeling, grating aggravating garbage by Joplin. Her version was a cover, and a dismal one at that.

Erma could really sing.....

Listen to how a sistah does it....

I've known for years they went to HS together in Port Arthur. Sorry to hear that my favorite football coach bullied this sad, pathetic hippy girl...but whatever....coulda been worse.

I think Jimmy and Jerry Jones were teammates on that Arkansas NC team. Had a falling out later at the Cowboys. I think Barry Seltzer might have been an AC on that team but I don"t remember.

And Howard Schnellenberger recruited Joe Namath to Bama, I believe.
