Baby Jesus

Was extremely underwhelmed with Lucas and Lofton.

But other players played even better than I expected, like Keionte Scott, so it evened out.

But these are nitpicks on a team that was otherwise as advertised, which is awesome.
Lofton did exactly what the coaches wanted him to do. Block and he was really good especially on run plays. He will see a ton of catches from this moment on IMO.

Lucas also had a good game. Yeah he had a few mistakes but he locked up one of their best WR's.

Lotion was never given proper routes to run. Just short dump off stuff. Not one seem route or a drag or post. We needed to attack those safeties in the middle of the field and did it maybe one time where Daniel’s made an incredible grab. We need to see lotion moved around instead of being put as an H-back all night! That stance alone and starting in the backfield makes it hard to run any upfield routes
Man you really like Lotion huh. You even spelled it wrong twice LOL

Yeah your poll on whether Mesidor should start aged well.

:snoopfacepalm:
don't ruin this thread about Meisdor - and I can still stand behind that. I give mesidor his flowers- he was solid - he was an all star the last drive. loved it.

Blount was also out there making noise.

but yes. I do admit I was wrong about mesidor's speed. he looked much quicker and much more explosive then previous years.

I would argue he had a rough night in the blocking game, and that’s one of the reasons I was so underwhelmed.

4:48 left in the first quarter. 2nd and 5. watch the “block” he throws.

Again, I’m not saying Lofton is a bad player. But based on preseason hype, he did not deliver anything in game 1.

You're going to be wrong on Coleman too because he's not starting here next year LOL

In both post game shows I watched they said how great he did in blocking. Amon Richards talked about it in his interview On Dmoneys Pod.

They can have their opinion, but watch that play and then watch him get driven back and collapse the lane at 10:28 in the 4th.

Again - this is not a “hate on Lofton” thing. I like him and think he can be great. But for someone to talk about how great he was blocking during the ND game ignores some pretty rough reps.

This is purely commentary on the camp hype we received vs. how they played game 1. My other posts are about the game are borderline glazing and I’m in the #MarioHive. Not a hater.

Just pointing out two players we’ve been told are all Americans not playing like it in a single game sample. Compared to Malachi Toney who actually over delivered on the hype.

You do realize he played more than one play. You mentioned one play where he got driven back. So that means he did well in the remainder of his snaps. He's a weapon not a blocker but he was asked to do it this game and he did a heck of a job. 🤷‍♂️

D$ dropped the post saying Lofton was hurt and is working his way back from injury. That aligns with and explains how he played in my view.

one consequence of Baby Jesus is that Ray Ray Joseph won't be playing much slot next few years.

this makes me happy because it will bug the living f@ck out of the anti-UM, racist POS luke campbell.

You're wrong (about who YOU think will start) but carry on
John Candy Reaction GIF

He played 43 snaps. Almost as many as our starting WR's

Funny. I almost jumped in a couple times to reference Lance’s breakdown. It was far from Lofton’s best game and the blocking was underwhelming to put it nicely.
