Pete Thamel is a **** himself. He's been trying to get football cancelled for a while now

Shocking..

Wouldn’t be surprised if the PAC12 stayed out as it’s lefty heaven out west

All jokes aside the Pac-12 coaches have to be ****ed. Opposing coaches now have never ending recruiting bullets about how they dont care about football that much

The Big10 really thought they were going to be the trailblazers in getting all the other major conferences to cancel football

That's astounding... and hilarious

They must have thought that ND and the ACC would cave. Instead, ND joined the ACC for the year. I think that doctor at Duke saved CFB this season. If Duke was not on board playing, the ACC probably doesn't play and then things fold.

Beatles, thats interesting you say that, but D Money pointed this out, UM's school president (Mr Frenk) is a health guy. Well, he never seemed to be in a rush to make any decision. He seemed to be on board and let the data and results come in

Go back a couple of months, I was pleasently surprised by how Miami just proceeded as if they were going to play football this fall. They took the precautions, had guidelines, etc --- and just went about their business. To me, I think they (as a program, from Frenk on down) knew that the were going to play ball, or at least were going to do their part to make it happen

IMO, Kevin Warren had an agenda from the very beginning that goes far beyond football and safety

Agreed that UM handled it well, but I think Duke and UNC drive ACC decisions so Duke being on board was a big deal. Certainly helpful that Frenk has expertise and credibility and was willing to proceed cautiously.

Warren has handled this horribly. Not sure how he comes out of this successfully. If they start in October and it goes well, then the obvious criticism is why did you cancel so early in the first place. But if it goes poorly, then he will be criticized for caving to outside pressure.

The Presidents make the decisions, not Kevin Warren. He's just the guy who is going to catch the blowback.

I thought this at first too. Warren is just as guilty as the Presidents though from everything coming out recently
