I agree. I am not exonerating all old white dudes. I'm simply being inclusive of the under 50 year olds that I was assured did not make the decision. I'm certain plenty of old white dudes with names like Connor, Conrad, Thurman, Harlan etc were included as well. Obviously those names also have a Roman numeral after them as well.

Not sure I’d characterize a bunch of 40- something’s as part of “this generation”. These are people who have been working in their fields for 20 years.

Stop. You assured the board no one under 50 made the decision. You were wrong and that's ok. I called you out and included facts. Your "this generation" comment is ambiguous and was not included in my prior comments. Don't move the goalposts now, especially on something so trivial when the subject matter of this thread is about how ridiculous this move by Auburn was.

Also, if you look at some other comments I made on this thread, I gave credit to the crusty dusty old white coots too:

I have a few questions, and am hoping one of you guys can help me out:

1. How many years has a National Champion been crowned?
2. How many teams claim to be a National Champion?

If you want to take every comment on a message board 100% literally then, yes. You are correct those 48 year old people in Auburn’s athletic department are technically not 50

I stand corrected.
