We could be looking at a "Friends and Family" situation if UM catches a beatdown this weekend.

I'm talking 5-10k butts in seats, tops. Worst we've seen in 20 years type of potential.

They would lie and say 40,000. But they privately know how much money they lose on tickets and vending, at the very least in oppurtunity cost.

And this admin seems obsessed with money. Money over everything. Almost a Billion dollar endowment, but wont spend $4 mil on a coach.

Its crucial that FSU lay some pipe on Golden this weekend. It'll echo for the rest of the season.

No way in **** I'm missing the Clemson game. Not too often we play them at Home.
But I also would be a little disappointed if Golden wasn't fired by then. I hope to God if Golden is fired midway through the season, all you guys start filling the stands, to show we completely support the players, and it was just the coach we wanted gone.

Fact is south Florida is a front runner town. In the best of times, they will only draw for big games. With an *** whoopin next week, attendance will take a further hit. At some point, it has to start hurting, but issue is they get guaranteed revenue from ACC, so money impact limited.

VT will have their QB back for the Miami game according to article today.

As much as I hate to think it, something tells me Cook is limited on Saturday, our defense plays like the '85 Bears, Golsen throws 3 picks in desperation and Kaaya looks like Phil Simms in the Super Bowl going 22-25 or similar. Al will be hailed and we will be screwed. I don't want that to happen believe me, but fsu has won 25 STRAIGHT ACC games. Last time they lost was to NC State when EJ was QB in Raleigh by 1 point on a Thursday night. That streak may end this year.

Clemson will bring 10-15,000 fans since they'll be a top 5 team and they always travel well regardless, but the VT game will be a ghost town.

The best case scenario is golden being fired and then we all can show up and go support the team. guarantee they win games if he's let go after fsu

Yep, and waaaay too soon. They need him to play against NC State on Friday, but unless Beamer has changed his outlook on things over the years, his only concern is winning the division to appear in the ACC championship game to keep the "Beamer's too old and needs to go" crowd off his back. I think he will sit out against NC State but he will definitely make the trip south the following week.

I dont think he's fired before end of season. But if he is, I like the idea of filling the stadium. I'll definitely fly down for Clemson if he's not the coach. I also would like one more banner. That game, message supporting the players! I hate that they are sort of "collateral damage" in this whole thing. Should never have been allowed to get to this point. Administration at UM sux
