They should attach some of those giant fans to the canopy and upper deck overhangs because it's no air being circulated up in there.

I don't know what the big deal is about making suggestions about improvements to our facilities. I was at a recent preseason Dolphins game and it was sweltering in there at 8pm. Feel like a little breeze would've gone a long way.

Although I should've learned after broke got lambasted for recommending a jersey display and some other thing at the Hecht.

I think you are over 50 k butts in seats. People will want to see how Malik looks, the hype on the team, first game, people excited etc.

i live on west coast but have good season tickets that I either give away to friends when I don't fly in or sell on StubHub. They always sell cause they are really good seats even if tickets available. But for a no name game, they rarely would go for over $100 and not have the attendance over 50k, and they sold for more than that. Anecdotal I realize but think crowd will be better than some think.

They can just flip on the tv.

40k max

That's actually probably a really good metric

How many fans do we average at away games? serious question.

Depends where. GT and FSU, a lot. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, not as many. But, we usually bring a lot of fans, a lot more than most people around the country realize or give us credit.

You're right, I was being too negative.

I'll bet somebody important has already read this thread, and they're at Home Depot clearing them out of ceiling fans. It's just a matter of getting enough long ladders and hundreds of yards of extension cords, and they're probably hanging them as we speak.

Great idea.

As long as 60 or so Miami Hurricanes football players and coaching staff turn up I dgaf who else is there.

I love the canopy, although I do remember it getting a bit stuffy under there last year at the FAU game. Wonder if they've done anything to improve air circulation

That has to be something they needed to fix. That canopy wasnt worth **** last year. Not only the FAU game but we might as well have played that FSU game at high noon as hot as it was in that stadium that night.

Yes, they've fixed the stuffiness and heat issue. There's a big ole' hole at the top of the structure to let air in. They also recommend for you to bring one of these:

Ladies, seriously?

Haha fair enough. I'm not really complaining -- I sit pretty close to the field and usually get enough breeze to be comfortable. During the FAU game, I went up to the upper deck to visit a friend and noticed how much more muggy it was up there. Definitely better than baking in the sun, but something the Dolphins could probably engineer a fix for...

It's an odd phenomenon, same with the Dolphins, always well represented at away games. Last year at App St. I was shocked how many fans we had there.

I'm not sure I appreciate your tone.

Anyway, something along these lines:

Any idea on how many season tickets were sold for this year? Would imagine it has to be close to a 10 year high.

I'm going to go agree that attendance will be somewhere in the 50k range. Noon games against inferior opponents usually struggle to draw crowds but there's a lot of hype around the team this year.

It's still warm with the canopy but nothing compared to the blazing hotbox that place was with no cover. Yeah there's no breeze but if you sit in the lower levels, there never was a breeze.

Ummm..why spend the money to make the upgrades if the **** dont work? They were better off leaving it the way it was and spend the money on a better WiFi network. And again..you want "non-core" fans to show up to the games..gotta entertain them and make sure they are comfortable. Otherwise you posters who love to bytch about attendance can just get back on your soapbox again.
