Attendance ? Fins Vs Canes

I guess it really comes down to: Pro sports are more popular than college sports. You need mucho students to overcome that.
Facts. Most people are not lucky enough to have a professional sports team in their city. So yea pro sports are by far and large more popular.

Here's your friendly reminder that the sorryazz Miami dolphins refused to draft Miami Hurricanes players for decades and once held a pregame celebration for a UF team that won a national title. The dolphins could go away tomorrow and it would not be soon enough. **** them and the whores they rode in on.

How would you like to be tortured?... nails pulled out or fingers chopped.... pretty hard choices for football fans in SFL

To add, the Dolphins have also accurately diagnosed that the majority of the fans that show up are not there for football, but rather for entertainment. They have done a good job of making the game more show than game. Fins fans aren't hardcore football fans like what it seems at Buffalo and KC but they've embraced it and have accommodated to the casual fan.

UM likely needs to do a better job in that regard.

This isn't Austin, Columbus, Ann Arbor, etc., it's a major metropolitan market, i.e., an NFL town. It draws OK by NFL standards, but it's an entirely different standard than college. This is a silly comparison.

UM has tried to an extent but you see w CIS, there are complaints about the DJ, or the suites, or fans in the lounges or diff areas (bar with all the tvs) rather than in seats. honestly, idc if it looks empty on tv. as long as the seats are getting sold and more money goes to UM, do w.e. you want. you paid for your ticket. you can sit in the bathrooms for 3 hours for all I care

Y’all need to accept that the City doesn’t show up for bad Canes teams/games.

This will never change.

They don't even show up for the good Cane teams. Even back in the hey day during the big east it was maybe 34-40k for Rutgers and so

A lot of Dolphin fans (like myself) are spread out all over the country. I grew up in Miami and moved away to go to school and then the Navy. There was a time when they were a national brand. That peaked with Shula and Marino. This current team has a lot of talent and has a chance to make the playoffs. The hardcore Dolphin fans have been dormant. The Hurricanes fan base is smaller, but more passionate.

The stadium offers a very mid experience for the hurricanes, and I’m sure if upped bowl was $10 or something it would be packed lol. People don’t want to waste $150+ a seat for crap product

Attendance for these two teams is like a dog chasing it's tail that it never can catch, best explained in the CIS Haiku Thread:

The Orange Bowl Curse
Championships Vanished Since
Winning Culture Gone
