aTm vs Auburn

Texas A&M is going to be used as a cautionary when it comes to NIL.
also hope (I'm delusional obviously) AtM and all these other schools show how foolish these guaranteed buyout contracts are for HCs

Aggies went from legitimate SEC/Natty expectations to...

I would imagine the admins will try to make him hire a new OC to be the play caller but they can't really make Jimbo do anything, he's got them by the balls until 2027 and that's if they want to pay Jimbo 40M to leave.
They just spent $30mil on one recruiting class. When they're ready for Jimbo to leave, the money will be there.

I don't think they are going to fire Jimbo tbh, they will probably force him to hire a real OC.

But if Jimbo is fired I think TAMU is the only program that could have the audacity to make a run at Meyer.

Yeah, I can see them try to just basically turn Jimbo into a bagman and force him to go get Garrett Riley or something.

Wow can't believe those guys are 3-7 in jumbo 5th year there, man if he's fired that team is about to get poached for players like crazy. Plus Lookout for Lane Kiffin here

timing in life can be so important. If Miami plays MTSU before atm AND ATM has a second loss, Miami likely wins both games. Instead, we let a **** aTM team beat us because they still had something to fight for and we let an even ****tier MTSU beat us because we had nothing to fight for.

It’s all fun & games with aTm til they go off and hire Urban Meyer.
What exactly does Urban bring to A&M in 2022 that they don't already have with Jimbo, exactly?

- Enhanced recruiting? Jimbo brought in the #1 class last year, and has recruited well in general
- Schemes? Jimbo is going to have to hire a new OC anyway, so why would A&M spend $60M to buy out Jimbo, hire Urban...who will also need to hire an OC?
- Discipline?
- Culture?

I know we lost to aTm but boy does it feel good to see them staring down the barrell of 3-7 if a team with no HC knocks them off today

after paying all that money in recruiting, having a way worse record than kevin sumlin did before him, jimbo's ship is sinking and we get them again next year
I mentioned how weak our schedule is. When the season started this was one of 2 teams I thought we would lose to turns out Clemson and FSU are the only good teams on our schedule we made a&m seem better then they were.

I know Urban is a trash human being but you aren’t seriously comparing garbage *** Fisher in terms of cfb coaching to Urban, are you?

Please tell me you’re joking. The guy turned around every program in college he ever coached within two years and even was able to convert the undisciplined Zook clowns into doing a 180.

Just stop.

On paper, they were the most talented team. Significantly more than us.

Their issues outweighed their talent level.

No, what I am saying is I am uncertain that Urban of today can get the same results of Urban of 2011 (Ohio State) or Urban of 2005 (Florida). Would his spread-option attack still be cutting edge in 2023? And if not, then he gets the brightest young mind available to run the best current system.

Which is what Jimbo Fischer would need to do anyway, without the $110-$120M required this year to buy out Jimbo and his staff and replace them next year with Urban and his staff.

But you could easily be right. Urban of 2023 (or 2033) might be the perfect fit for the Aggies.
