Few coaches in America occupy a hotter seat than Golden, who is 28–22 entering his fifth season. The Hurricanes lost four straight to finish 6–7 — UM’s third losing season in the last 35 years. He recruited well through a lengthy NCAA investigation, but fans howl that the program keeps sailing further and further from the glory years.
This year’s team is young, after losing a host of NFL-caliber talent, and has to battle a brutal October stretch that includes Florida State (in Tallahassee) and Clemson. The Canes haven’t played for the ACC title since joining the conference in 2004, and it doesn’t look like this will be the year.
The ‘U’ stands for ‘Underwhelming’ now, and if Golden doesn’t produce results this season, he might be looking for work elsewhere.

lmao, these writers don't know ****.last year we were supposed to win it all and paul johnson was going to get fired.athlon sports said:Wins range: 7 to 9
The Coastal Division is there for the taking for Miami. The Hurricanes have the pieces to win the Coastal, but a questionable defense and an uncertain quarterback situation could hold this team back in 2014. Golden has assembled the No. 2 roster in the ACC. Assuming running back Duke Johnson returns at full strength, and the defense shows slight improvement, Miami should be the favorite in this division. The schedule isn’t too taxing, but a non-conference date at Nebraska will be tough, and the Hurricanes won’t be favored to beat Florida State on Nov. 15. Miami has increased its win total in each of the last three years. Will that continue in 2014? - See more at: Miami Hurricanes 2014 Spring Football Preview | AthlonSports.com

They won nine games with SteMo at QB. Sometimes luck intervenes.6-7 wins is ceiling with the current coaching staff...
Phil Steele thinks they are top 25. Both might be wrong if you read this board. 1-11 with Bethune as the only guarantee.43 in the nation and 5th in the coastal is what it says.. that's embarrassing
Yay! Rankings!
Win and everything changes.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. Only problem is we haven't won anything since 2001. This year won't be any different since your boy is still at helm.
