I love Athlon and have been collecting his College Preview magazines for decades. Over the years I've found them better than most.

Its always interesting to look back and see how many flavors of the day actually make it to the NFL

I also think we'll have more representation on the ALL ACC teams Jeff Thomas, Travis Homer are definite 2nd team plus JJackson is 1st team ...and if everything falls in place one of our QB's will be on the year end list

Isn't Phil Steele better?

I've bought Athlon 3 years in a row (this year too)

Couldn’t wait for them to come out. Athlon, Lindy, Street & Smith etc. Would read them all and then complain about how low they had my Canes ranked. Also excellent reading material while on the crapper.

They have us beating LSU. It's 6-2 in ACC reg season, and then third loss they're seeing is clemson in ACC 'ship. We only have 12 regular season games, so 10-3 factors in ACC championship.

I think LSU, idk who the 2nd is, n Clemson in the ACC ship.

I looked at this when they released it. The non conference loss is Clemson in (ironically) the conference championship game. They have us 6-2 in ACC play. The ACC championship game would be a 9th ACC game. They have Clemson at 7-1 in conference.
Looking at the rest of their predictions though, I can't figure out who the 2 conference losses are. If it's VT, how does VT lose 3 (by their prediction) conference games? FSU loses two from Clemson & VT at home & NC St & Miami on the road. So its unlikely to be them as well.

Looks like they just expect Miami to lose two conference games, but have no idea to which teams. But hey, we beat LSU & win the coastal.

We lose 2 conference games, we won't make the ACC Champ game
I don't agree this year but I also see no way we lose 2. I think we might lose 1 game somewhere but we are too good and our schedule too average overall for us to lose 2 IMO.

People might laugh at this, but Pitt may be the biggest challenger to the Coastal this year. Their crossovers are Wake and Syracuse and they played a lot of close games last year.

Pre-internet, I used to camp out at the bookstore until the moment these things came out. I actually think I knew more about other teams then than I do now, since I would read the things front to back. It's either that or I cared more back then pre-wife, kids, adulting, etc.

I have a hard time seeing us lose at home this season. Only lost one home game last season and that was the last one in the OB when, TBH, we were hurt and collectively ran out of gas.

This season's team should be stronger mentally and physically down the stretch when compared to last year, and The Rock should be sold out for every game moving forward.. Clemson will be a tough beat, but it's about how you finish and who knows what we'll become throughout the season.
