Athletic Dept changes….some smoke?

Parker and Matt (who came from UCF), are all on the fundraising side. Matt is replacing Fonzi (Restrepo) I think. Both are actually nice kids. Matt played college ball at some small school. Sat with Duasso and me for part of the NC St game. I doubt this has anything to do with Blake, and they won’t talk. I’ve tried.
Nailed it. Their just filling the position that is vacant because of fonzi moving on. Jobs within this department are stepping stone jobs.

There are great people inside the department. I always tell them they have a very tough job because of the incompetence.

We have been told one of the reasons they have kept Flake is because he's an excellent fundraiser so these promotions can be a way to shore up fundraising while they find Blakes replacement, especially since they announced it via the Hurricane Club Twitter account.......

I don’t think these are new positions, so they would be filled either way.

Real good chance I'm reaching. Forgive me, I'm on a desperate quest for hope

Right now my best hope is that they don’t come out flat against GT and way underperform like they usually do when they’ve done something halfway right under Manny. History has been that when they are somewhat satisfied and happy with themselves, under Manny, they lay big eggs, like losing to Georgia Tech for example.

Can you imagine that? Being complacent with a 4–4 record? I think that is a big danger with Manny’s type of team.

Agree 100%, said earlier in the week that Manny has been known to spike the ball on the 10 yard line. This is just the type of game coming off 2 Top 20 wins when Manny shyts the bed. Hopefully TVD and the rest of the young guys prevent that.

Thankfully Manny has nothing to do with the offense and TVD is fired up at his chance for the starting role. You can bet that he is taking this game just as serious as any game he has played and he and Lashlee will be prepared. So the ball is in Manny's court to have HIS DEFENSE prepared to stop Tech.
