Outside of Jeff Thomas we didn’t have a guy who could make a catch like that. KJ was really solid but not elite.
our WR room is super weak. I mean bottom of division 1 football weak.

Frank ladson was a huge miss. We don’t have any big guys with speed and body control. Maybe Redding can be that

Hightower had a nice grab in the 1st game of 2018 against LSU in the end zone.
Unfortunately it seems the staff isn't a fan of playing the most talented players and putting them in a position to do damage.
Doesn't matter if we recruit and sign highly-rated players if they don't see the field.
Hopefully Lingard doesn't fly the coop, because I'd really like to see what he can do with a Miami jersey on.

We need another 6’2-6’4 body on the edge..but idk about some who say our pass catching talent is bottom of CFB..that’s flat dumb..pretty sure our oline was bottom of the of the nation in QB hurries and sacks

I have seen nothing from our WRs that says special.
Miami fans overrate Miami prospects consistently.

That’s true too. Always overrate our talent. How many guys did we think were going in the first 3 rounds lol..but I think our WRs are Hindered do to other issues

Not just this, I see elite guys wide ******* open at times because they get schemed opened. We don't do that either.

Payton had a nice, dynamic catch this year.
Our receivers aren't coached well enough, they dont play in a proper scheme, and they dont have a great QB throwing to them for them to be judged properly.

Just another example of talent-related issues that can't be helped by coaching. We just don't have guys who make plays like that.

Our receivers do not get separation, do not create lanes by blocking or by decoy in the running game, drop too many passes, and don't put up numbers.

I’ve said this in the past. We don’t even make the routine plays all the time anymore. Nevertheless the great plays.

Our oline is the worse in the P5..it hinders any consistent passing attack..when guys are open the QBs miss them
