At This time last year

Perry was 99.9% of this boards savior at QB..I mean..WTF happened? I was never as high on his readiness as most, but did y’all lose faith after or b4 the sexting situation?
Those 2 first qtr ints for most people prolly. I think Perry’s problem is more coaching than Anythjng tho.

This time last year I was probably high asf of of some loud. I'm sure a few on this board were, too. 🤷‍♂️
More things change more things stay the same.

Did you not actually watch the season? You think his only deficiency was that sexting situation?

As usual, folks on a message board got over their skis. He wasn’t a savior in my eyes, but in any case, folks were wrong.

The Bicht Shichtshow happened. Everyone starts with a clean slate now. Perry either grows up or he's content with riding the pine and ho's. Maybe the new regime can coach some sense into him. Maybe not.
Our other 2 QBs on team could be studs also, just waiting on good coaching. We'll see.

He has some decent arm talent and wheels but he’s got too much sh*t for brains to utilize it, we need much better..

At this point one month ago, you were still arguing that Richt deserved more time. What happened?

At this point I feel like any contribution he gives to this program is a bonus. I really don’t expect much. I’m gonna still root for him if he gets in. But he has given me no reason to believe that he has the smarts or drive to emerse himself into learning a brand new and more complex playbook and terminology.

I thought he should obviously have been playing over Malik, but from the little we saw of him on the field I remember instantly thinking JW passed the eye test better than either two. Had the least experience by far but looked calm, poised, and in command under center. Just radiated the truth to me, I was baffled when he didn't get more playing time to at least see what we were actually working with.

Perry might be pretty decent given a chance under a real QB coach. But because of his maturity and off field antics, f*ck that. QB can't just be serviceable in their position, they need to be a leader. Perry ain't dat, he's a proven clown. Bring in Hurts and develop JW with some actual playing time this year in 4th quarters when we're up 2-3 scores.

Perry was 6/24 for 52 yards against Pitt. That's absurdly bad.

He has shown nothing to suggest he'll be even an average QB here.
