I can't get mad at golden because it's penn state, it's not like he's been interviewing for every available job. I've been saying that for 10 years. Again....no argument from me. I'm simply laying out reality...and reality is this administration won't make that move. We basically need PSU to do us a favor in order to do get lucky and maybe do the right thing (Petrino for example).

It's All about the U" it's not all about Canes Football. the quality of education continues to be cultivated, so should the football program, it is a major asset and also needs to be cultivated.

At this point I'd say Golden doesn't have the PSU job. IMO it's Franklins to lose. Golden may have done too much damage to this fan base till he wins something meaningful. But in terms of recruiting he now has a strong argument going for him when he goes into kids houses. He didn't leave for PSU. Now none of this is valid if he was never offered the job. But if he was and refused their offer he can use it as a recruiting tool. Turning down your dream job for another would show kids his commitment to them and the school. But as far as the community and the national fan base he can't afford a season like this past one. He better win the coastal. Or he be mutinied out of the 305. I supported Golden, and as a coach part of me still does, but if he does all this denies the job and comes back and we show no improvement at all. No D should have been fired the day after Orlando, by Al himself! There is no way you can finish last season almost LAST in D and then finish the last 6 games giving up 500 yards a game. blake is on the stage for potential coaches to look at and you don't do that as part of a recruiting attempt. Coaches will not react well to that.

And newsflash...never believe anything a sports administrator says to the media. It's not in their interest to tell the world the truth until everything is official.

So with that being said my statement was made under the assumption that Blake already knows Al is not getting the job (which I have a feeling he's not). If you're Blake you HAVE to fire Onfrio the second you know Al isn't getting the PSU job. Why? Cause this isn't a situation where Miami has relative recourse to just fire Al after this whole soap opera is over due to the buy out that you know we aren't going to eat. You have to force that guy to either outright quit or come back on YOUR terms.
