If we get a great coach and a great recruiter under him that has relationships with everybody in Fla, thats a win win in my opinion. Whether people want to admit it, recruiting is major. Before anybody twist my words, im not saying that Cristobal is reason for all those recruits. Cristobal shouldnt be considered as HC or Coord but whomever is hired at head coach would be wise to bring him on as a position coach....IJS.

I think the more time that goes by the more likely it is that they will talk themselves out of Butch. Butch is a **** pick but his obvious negatives will only become more decisive over time. If they are really talking to Kelly that could kill Butch just because it means they are going to be playing the waiting game. I think they pick Butch in the next 2 weeks or it will be someone else.

In a sense the Kelly talk worries me because while I think we couldn’t get a better coach and BJ would immediately go to Elvis status it’s a double edged sword. When you think you have a chance with a Victoria Secret model every other chick becomes less attractive and I really think Butch would be one of our best (top 3) options because of the buzz it would create. If we land her that would be FN awesome but can this Admin really go from Coker to Onion to Golden to one of the best coaches around? If it were me I would go all in for Kelly because of the investment opportunity that’s just sitting there waiting but you never know what fuels these guys. One thing is for sure if they are talking to him they better be ready to go all in because his agent using his demand to create a buzz and start a bidding war.

I also think that Mario being the HCIW will be up to whomever the HC will be, but whomever it will be will want him. It’s just too good of a deal to pass up. He has recruiting hooks into every major feeder program in the country and knows the Miami area as well as anyone and if anyone can keep Alabama out of your backyard cherry picking it will be him. Anyone who takes the Miami job over any other job is only going to do it because they want to take advantage of our recruiting base to be successful.

I agree that Butch is not the **** pick. That would be one of the high scoring O types everyone is in love with. They are the Victoria Secret models. Butch is more Paula Dean. Old and a little heavy but talks with that sweet Southern voice. Thing is that once Paul gets in the kitchen and start to cooking, the frigging results are going to be the best meal you have ever eaten full of butter and bacon high in calories and full a fat and sugar. When you send that hot **** model into the kitchen you are probably going be eat until you stave to death.

Hey, I am all in on the **** model thing. Many years ago I married one. Thirty something years later she still looks great but I have good about every frigging meal since. The question is what type of football team do we want -- kale or fried chicken, mashed potatoes and pecan pie. I can cook my own food but by God I cannot make Miami THE U again. Paula, I mean, Butch has the best chance of doing that.

Also don't forget I have the actual experts on my side. Your just going off of a proven biased hunch. Go read how big of a factor people who get paid for their opinions think his show cause will have on his next job now that its expired.

Also do you think the NCAA issues at UNC would have any factor on Butch's job? The NCAA said the same thing to Butch as they did Chip and that's neither one of them had any knowledge of what was going on. To back that up Butch has players on record saying he did know and Butch got fired because of it by the people who know more than the NCAA did and Butch (this god like coach) is still unemployed.

Also why do you think that the person doing the interview will care whether the NCAA actually issues anything in one case and not in the other? Since its expired its completely indifferent. Also Miami knows more than anyone else that the NCAA is a joke, not honest and has ulterior motives. Chip was an easy advertisement that would have zero impact. It was even said so at the time it happened. Miami distrusts the NCAA more than any school because they experienced it. To think that they some how trust the NCAA over all else is just not sound reasoning. Miami will do its own investigation and in the Butch case there is lot more things to be worried about then in Chip's. UNC's issues about shut the program down and in Oregon's they didn't even get a bowl ban.

I like Cristobal, he is U family but we cannot afford to make a bad fourth hire. All I hear about Cristobal is how the high school coaches love him and he is a great recruiter but if he was hired as head coach his recruiting role would be greatly reduced. His best year at FIU was 8 wins against teams with a combined win percentage less than .300. 8 wins means **** when they come from ****** competition.

Year SIX, the year where you see what condition a program is at, he went 3-9 and was justifiably fired.
