At least 4 new assistants coaches will be announced - Barry

Re: Kevin Beard. Why shouldn't he be back? Look at how much better we were at WR this year than last. Our kids took major strides.

New asisstants:

Kool
Thomas Brown
Hartley
and Young Richt

I'm still not sure where this Raymond buzz is coming from other than our fans' hopes.

I know ONE person connected to both LSU and UM. I never pretend to have inside info, because most often I don't know anything more than anyone else. Unless you're willing to share it all the time, (i.e., you have a first hand contact with someone) you usually just come off looking like a poor man's Ferman. But the deal with Raymond is that the moment Richt was hired his side said he had interest. Could mean zilch comes of it, he's angling for a raise or whatever, but there was the pretense of interest. Just took awhile for it to show up on boards.

No idea if he comes. (Ooooooo -- closes with the classic fake insider hedge!)

I believe that type of info puts him up there with Tito, Geo and Kyle.

Give me two fake silent commits and some faux scout player analysis and you have yourself a job.

#Miami makes hires of Co OC/RB coach Thomas Brown, DL Coach Craig Kuligowski, STC Todd Hartley and offensive asst Jon Richt official.

There is zero visual evidence to support that Beard's presence made a tangible impact.

Scott and Coley got healthy, not better.

Listen to the Beardlievers! The WRs looked better. That's all they got, and I'm riding with them.

Expect Beard back in his secretarial role.

In their new roles with the Hurricanes, Brown will serve as the co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach, Kuligowski will serve as the team’s defensive line coach, Hartley will accept special teams coordinator responsibilities, while Richt will move into the role of offensive assistant. -Per 247

Does Jon Richt count as an assistant coach or does he fall under the support staff, which allows us to hire an additional coach?

Sounds to me like he's going to be a coach even though he's been given a nebulous title. If he's coaching in practice, then he counts.

So whos the other co offensive coordinator?

Hmmm. Is there a highly qualified WR coach out there who would need the co-OC title to be lured here? I doubt we hire a QB coach, who would get the co-OC title, with Richt and Richt Jr. working with QBs.

Given his title, he won't go against our coach numbers

Support staff wouldn't be listed as a "coaching hire". He'd be called support staff.

I thought the first response was awesome, but the Larry David...well done good sir.

Go Canes!

P.S. - it is very nice to be talking about this quality of coach.

Not sure - the article put out by the school says they are added to the coaching staff, and if you look at the current coaching staff on the athletics site, the quality control, grad assistants and support staff are included.

Offensive assistant doesn't sound like a coach. They'd call him QB coach since that's likely how he'll be used.
