Not what you wanted to see from the bullpen after Saturday’s disaster. I did think Keysor looked decent his first two innings, and asking him to throw three might have been pushing it.
Slade clearly didn’t have his best stuff tonight. Hopefully, it was just a one off.
Even if it was much more difficult than it should have been, it was good to get another midweek game and especially against FIU given our recent struggles.
This was such a great game for the young Canes to experience. They got up 10-2 and absolutely relaxed.
There is no letting up in baseball, whereas in other sports you can simply run out the clock, in baseball you've got to finish the game. They clearly were feeling good about themselves and they got to learn the lesson without the pain of the actual loss (unlike last year).
