Just switched to DIRECTV Stream a few months ago. I have the same expectation that you do. Agree that if it goes past Monday we are in for a long battle.Last year at this exact same time, Spectrum lost ESPN and the rest of the channels owned by Disney. They came to an agreement a couple of hours before the first NFL Monday Night Football game. Same for YouTube TV in 2021. It's going to be the same thing with every provider going forward once their contracts with Disney end, especially Disney trying to launch an ESPN direct-to-consumer offering next year, and with FuboTV suing Disney and winning a temporary injunction to block the Venu joint venture.
DirecTV execs are saying almost the exact same things Spectrum execs were saying a year ago. Pretty good chance the channels will be back before the Jets-49ers game next Monday, but if they aren't back by then, it's probably going to be a while.
get off my lawnIf you have a separate ESPN+ account, you can watch it. I can cast ESPN+ from my phone to my TV and it's crystal clear with no lagging (I'm an old ******, so I know y'all young bucks can figure it out)
As the leaves turn each fall, you can be sure of two things – football season will be in full swing, and Disney will do everything it can to keep you from watching your favorite team unless they offer it to you exclusively (oh, Disney now owns all of Hulu too). Don’t take our word for it. You can ask Spectrum customers in 2023, DISH customers in 2022, or YouTube TV customers in 2021.
Unfortunately, Disney is back at it again, this time targeting DIRECTV customers. That’s why we’re giving you more ways to watch this weekend’s college football games, Monday Night Football and the U.S. Open.
Both alternatives allow you to access Disney networks, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, Disney Channel, Freeform, and others.
- Visit fubotv.com/deal to start your 7-day free trial from Fubo, either for their Pro or Elite with Sports Plus plans, and $30 off the first month after that. In addition, DIRECTV will provide a $30 credit; or
- Visit sling.com/DIRECTV to get the Sling Orange service, offset by a $30 credit from DIRECTV.
Learn more about these alternatives and how to redeem your $30 credit from DIRECTV at TVPromise.com starting Saturday, Sept. 7. Once redeemed, credit will apply to active DIRECTV accounts within two months.
This is a small way to help you stay connected to your sports and entertainment while we work with Disney to reach a new agreement.
**** getting nasty.Starting tomorrow (Saturday, September 7) DirecTV is giving all customers a $30 credit for signing up for Fubo TV or Sling Orange.

YesWill YouTube TV have the Canes game this weekend, I think it’s on ACCN Plus or Extra?
Yes. All are on YouTube tv. There is 100 channels on YTTV.So YouTubeTv doesn’t have Disney owned channels either right now? I was already thinking about switching and this is making it much easier if YouTubeTV has the Disney network of channels.
This right here. I work at Spectrum and was pretty close to this negotiation. I suspect a deal will be made before Monday nights game...if not that is a huge fail by both ESPN and ATT. I think ATT wants the same deal Spectrum got, but I'm not sure of that.Last year at this exact same time, Spectrum lost ESPN and the rest of the channels owned by Disney. Was hopeful this would get resolved by Monday but doesn’t sound like that’s likely given this offer.Starting tomorrow (Saturday, September 7) DirecTV is giving all customers a $30 credit for signing up for Fubo TV or Sling Orange.

Call them and get out that contract you signed under false pretense.I just left comcast for directv a couple of months ago and am stuck in a 2 yr contract. Went to watch the USC vs. LSU game and thought it was a one off. Then no FSU game, missed all those tears.
Bottom line, am I fucced or can I get these channels free elsewhere?
How much did you pay to watch Star Wars? With these apps, ya'll are speaking a foreign language.
I gotta get hip.
I'm still an OnTV/Selkirk Cable subscriber.
If it doesn't get resolved in the next week...it's not getting resolved ever. Was hopeful this would get resolved by Monday but doesn’t sound like that’s likely given this offer.
Nope. YouTube TV is not televising. You have to sign up for ESPN+. $10.99/ month. So many other garbage games on easier accessible networks.
