I believe he has another year... What is rookie cap? Do we offer 10 million? more?

Which is the better deal????


Edit. Thought rookie contract was a lot less.....

Most qb's are a bust.... just saying
 
At this moment its a DEEEEP QB draft but if he plays like we think he will be a first rounder and at that point you leave.. He would have to be a top 10 pick tho and NFL is still the pinnacle to alot of people but I think if he is mid-late first you can make an argument.

Is it that deep? There is a huge drop-off after Trinidad and Mensah

Very deep. You can have your personal opinions, and obviously a lot will change between now and April, but there are probably 10 guys who are in the conversation to be a first-round QB right now. And others will emerge (while admittedly some of the 10 will fall)

Just off the top of my head as far as guys I've heard will be in the conversation. Kiper put something out recently saying he predicts at least 5 QBs will be picked in Round 1. But he could see himself getting up to 12 Round 1 grades.

I believe Kiper had Moore and Arch as definite first-round locks, and then he said he could easily see Mensah, Carr, and Maiava playing their way in. Trinidad's size will likely keep him down the board, but obviously he's an incredible college player.

I can't remember a deeper QB class. Theres many more real players too, that can't even fit on that list. Learn the name Kamario Taylor. Not sure if I've ever seen this kind of arm talent.

There are levels of being a bust as a 1st round QB. Kenny Pickett is an example who will be a career backup but is still making 4 mil this year. The median back up QB in the NFL will make 4 mil and you arent capped in eligibility. As long as you are backup good in the NFL, it makes the most sense to get to the second + contract(s) ASAP. Of course you could end up being Josh Rosen but I doubt anyone is betting against themselves like that.
