Assessment through 5 games

Henderson needs to be benched. Plays with zero effort, careless turnovers and just not playing well.

This team plays hard on defense (probably fouls a bit too much), and is above average in rebounding. Unfortunately we are really limited offensively, as Malik is the only natural scorer on the roster it seems like (and it is hard to run the offense through a mostly interior low-post player these days). We are going to struggle against any team that doesn't let us run and/or has rim protectors (see BYU/UF). It would also be nice as a slashing team if we could hit FTs, which unfortunately we really haven't.

I think the ceiling of this team is a top 45-55 team (squarely on the bubble) with a floor in the 70-80 range. Will be better than last year just because of the overall roster talent and defensive effort but don't think we will see the outside shooting/half-court offense improve to much.

This guy isn't a 5 star freshman. Horrible.
Horrible is a bit of an overreaction. He was horrible vs Georgetown sure, but on the season he’s averaging 11 points and nearly 4 boards,

I do agree his FT shooting is horrible (46%) and he commits some bone headed fouls and turnovers, but his ceiling is high if he can put it all together.

Can't begin to delve into the last season issues and NiL numbers game, but Pack has been playing well for OU.

I could have envisioned him moving away from the 1 and giving us the (albeit streaky) outside scorer this team lacks
Regardless of what happened last year, I will never hate Pack.

2022-23 PackMania was real. Coming down the stretch of that season in February into March, all the way to the F4, we don't make it as far as we did without him heating up at that time.

We definitely wouldn't have beat Houston without him in the Elite 8.

He's been ballin' playing very well for Oklahoma with only 1 bad shooting performance vs Gonzaga, but otherwise has been a pivotal Shooter for the Sooners.

Is he playing PG, though? As a shooter, he's great, but when he's your only PG, that's the problem.

Pack & Xzayvier Brown are both Combo Guards.

They're both playing Point/2-Guard; it just depends on the matchup & how the Defense is playing them.
