The four-star cornerback from Cincinnati (Ohio) Anderson committed to Notre Dame in early December but since then position coach Mike Mickens left for the NFL. Miami, Virginia Tech, Missouri, USC and Indiana all jumped in and are trying to flip Alston, who said he’s still strong with the Irish

Miami jumped in the mix for Alston during the winter contact period and will look to get him on campus this offseason.

I saw Alston live a few times last year, and he was one of the best overall players on the 7v7 circuit. He’s not your usual tall, long corner, but he has elite instincts and just has a knack for making plays on the ball.
