"I feel like it's just always their pursuit of wanting to win and their hunger," Ghioto told 247Sports. "When you're out there, you can definitely see it." He highlighted the Hurricanes' defensive pressure and their ability to make crucial plays late, including a sack to open Florida State's final overtime possession, a holding penalty and an interception to seal the victory. "I mean, that's Miami football," he said. "And it was awesome."
"They're looking very promising," he said. "They just left off exactly where they were last year. And finally being back for a visit was awesome. I can't wait for my next one."
Ghioto did not have a date set for his next trip to Miami, but he indicated another visit could come soon, potentially before the end of the season.
"I'm approaching everything with an open mind," he said. "Nothing's closed off. I haven't even narrowed it down yet. Everybody and everything, very open-minded."
While he says he is in no rush to decide, Ghioto says a college commitment could come at any time. 247Sports hears that could come by the end of this year. "Whenever the time is right, I'm just going to jump on it," he said. "It's going to be super spontaneous. I'll probably be the only one who knows that day."
