As mentioned the CMR for Kirby swap at UGA was designed for one purpose and one purpose only

A championship ring.

This is hilarious on so many fronts. First what makes TB think this dude can turn around one of the worst franchises in the NFL? Smart has such an abbreviated coaching resume. They'd be perfect for each other.

If it happens as I mentioned before the only things remembered about the Smart coaching era at UGA are how quickly the window closed for them and how poorly the UGA fanbase treated the best coach they ever had to take a gamble.

Long term UM fans will feel the same way about CMR.

You had me until the last sentence. CMR quit on the Canes, not the other way around. We are customers, some paying ones, and when the product is less than desired it’s our right to voice our opinion. CMR was convicted to his plan which put him in a place where he felt he couldn’t recover. Live by the sword, die by it. I think we all respect him more for realizing it and not dragging it on any further.

I think u meant JJ but typed CMR accidentally.

If he leaves UGA could hire any coach it wanted from anywhere, minus Saban.
UGA fans don't miss CMR, probably grateful for the good years, but glad it's over.
As per UM, Richt was loosing the grip on offense and recruiting was declining fast. He left before it went from bad to embarassing

1899 does not like fan multitasking.

Just sick and tired of acting like a cuck to the $EC and worrying about UGA's every move. Multi-task away I'm just saying we have other bigger issues in-house to keep us busy. I could give a *** about K. Smart. Honestly, he leaves and they just hire a better coach because he's stacking the cupboards for someone else.

this has nothing to do with being a cuck for the SEC.

I think its simple. CMR was done with coaching after UGA, he no longer had it in him, thats pretty clear. Sure the excitement of coaching his Alma Mater got him "up" for the job at first, but he never had the fire to fully commit to doing what it would take to win. He was done, we lured him back, and for him, it was probably a mistake. Its onward and upward for us. CMR is now a memory. Good luck to him, and lets start kicking some ***.

In order to be a successful coach, you have to be something of an *******. Jimmy, Dennis, Butch, anyone who knows them will tell you that in some ways they were cuthroat a-holes. We have had a long run of "nice guys" since then. I think Manny is a Gangsta, here's to hoping we get back into the mix of things.

Actually he saved the Canes by loving us enough to retire. No one can argue that Richt is a Cane thru and thru. He knew he didn't have the fire anymore and did what was right. He isn't taking a dollar with him ( no buyout) that is crazy . I have nothing but love for him and no one can argue that Miami has way more talent then we did when we got here. His last 2 recruiting classes were the best Miami has had since 2002 or so . That one Shannon class ranked 1st doesn't count as it was full of weak *** players. Guys like Bandy, the 3 line backers , DJ ect are the heart of Miami.
