As bad as this season seems...

You all are brutal...I prefer to see the glass half full and admit it, our defense deserved to win and now Perry is improving and even better Rosier will be GONE so one of our young QB's will have to start games. So FSU beat BC but they lost to VT 24-3. Of course I want to see a real QB coach and Richt with his headset off and a real OC in the booth or on the sideline. With what we have those two changes could be significant or should I say should be mandatory.

Compared to our rival we lost by a lot less points then FSU. FSU 6 losses by -21, -23, -1, -49, -19, and -29. The U losses by -16, -3, -13, -8, -6. And except for the LSU game we were in each game late and made stupid mistakes. I believe we have the youngest team that now that we have a QB and if we redeem ourselves against Pittsburgh some of those recruits will realize we aren't as bad as our fans think and some of those on the fence will still consider the U. FSU lost at VT 24-3. We really need an impressive win Saturday and in which ever Bowl game we get. Then all is not lost and the program will still recruit as that is primary even over coaching. Imagine if we had a legitimate punter and a decent QB coach this year what our record might be. Field position is so critical and we failed miserably. The turmoil at QB is inexcusable but our defense has been awesome...the Canes thing is not wins and losses, it is how we play the full 60 minutes, so keep rooting since it is still Great To Be A Miami Hurricane!
Recruiting is primary over coaching ? Oh my,,
Nothing to see here..

Have you lost your **** mind?

Don't answer that.

OP is proof that some fans will think Richt has fixed all the problems if the team finishes the regular season with wins against one of the ****tiest VTech teams I've ever seen and an overrated Pitt team. This is a scary thought since most fans are probably as dumb as the OP. The more I see of this type of mentality among our fans, the less hope I have that the needed major changes will occur. It's ****** to see that so many people support mediocrity.
Fully expect richt to win out and have all concerns of this season sweeped under the rug sadly ... then it will be rinse and repeat but we just prolonged the problem

Do not ignore the glass half empty. It is not going to fill itself, and this coaching staff is either choosing to live with it, just like you, or is not capable of filling it. We love the U too much to let it slide by.

This is one of the softest schedules I can ever remember the Canes facing. Take that for whatever it means.

It’s not the losses, it’s how we looked losing. Our O looked beyond anemic, and recruits hate that. Our coaching looked horrible, and recruits don’t want to play for a coach that keeps doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result.

I am actually worried that if we look good the last two games, recruits won’t notice, and Richt will believe his O has turned the corner. He won’t make changes and we will see more ugly losses next year.
This is what concerns me as well

Richt is a stubborn lilbitch, the BOT needs to crack the whip

If Searles isn’t at least gone we are doomed

OP is just a half full type guy. Nothing wrong with that. As a fan you can only stay miserable for so long. The reality is that it would take around a 10 game losing streak to even get a conversation started amongst the BOT in regards to Richt getting fired. It is what it is. Nothing about these last 2 games is going to have any effect on what moves are made .... win or lose. Richt is gonna do what Richt is gonna do. The heat will be turned up as we approach the UF game and Richt will have cemented his path forward at that point and he’ll either start to right the ship or abandon it. I’m rooting for wins the rest of the way because it beats yelling at the screen for 2 more weeks. It’s easy to find things to bash, but OP is just trying to keep us all off the ledge for a minute.

On a separate note .... wtf with the mods locking @nystateofmind festive Thanksgiving thread about favorite side dishes?? That had comedic gold written all over it. Total failure by the mods.

Wrong it’s about wins and losses.
Exactly

2017 was all about wins and losses, we played crappy on offense and found a way to win several very close games.

Last year we probably should have been 8-4 and this year we should have been 8-4, which is right on Richt’s average.

We are getting exactly what Georgia discarded. Everything starts at the top and they realized what Richt’s ceiling and average are. They decided that based on their resources and location to recruit they needed an upgrade cause 9-3 wasn’t good enough. They definitely upgraded

Reality is in 2017 we won the close games( we played several and the ball bounced our way)

This year we lost them(had plenty of mistakes in each of those games in addition to the obvious coaching blunders...) this year nothing just seemed to go right

Just think about it
Uva game
- offense ineptitude
-Tito penalty to extend the drive with 2:30 left with an opportunity to win the game
-horrible blocking
Bad 3rd down and short play calling
3 point loss

Boston college
-defense playigng horribly
- Jaquan missed int that could have changed momentum
- deejay fielding that ball on the kickoff at the 2 yard line. Rosier later throws a pick on that drive
- offensive ineptitude
-horrible blocking
13 point loss

Duke
- deejay Dallas 2 costly fumbles
-opening play td by duke
- missed field goal and extra point
- richt blundering(decisions and coaching)
-Cager unneeded push off to potentially tie the game with a 2 point try.
8 point loss

Ga tech
-Deejay Dallas fumble(they scored a td after that)
-Jeff Thomas fumble, they got points on that
-Perry fumble, they got points on that.
-Defense didn’t play that well.
-On the passes they threw we played it horribly.
- hella drops by the receivers
6 point loss

Costly penalties by the oline man in all of those games we lost too.

That sh*t adds up and it’s just hard to win when that many things go wrong
