That 91 team when everything was Clicking could beat any UM team....That Defense alone would and did neutralized every offense thrown their way. The LBers alone (with their Pass Coverage abilities & East/West mobility) would Wreck Havoc....

Give CaneinOrlando these 3 Goons....
And back them up with Ryan McNeil, Pharms, Hurlie Brown, Darryl Williams and Seigler....
Put the ball at the 50 and lets go....

Agree, when Gore went down with another knee injury for the second year in a row, I knew our offense wasnt gonna be what it should have been. Moss was a good running back but not even close to being frank.

Real problem was Chudzinski. It was obvious in the Florida game that Berlin was a different quarterback from the shotgun. From behind center he was uncomfortable and awful. We lost 3 games in 2004 closely and too much of it was the same. Yes, Werner got improvement from Berlin, but when we were down against Louisville Werner was forced to go to the shotgun. Common denominator though was Larry Coker. Two wasted seasons 2003 and 2004.

The 81 team was without question...the most underrated of all time...they'd have beat Clemson in the NC Game....

It would have been quite the game. Maybe 14-10 final. We had a common opponent, NC State. We beat NC State in Raleigh by a touchdown. Clemson beat NC State by 10 at home. We were every bit as good as Clemson at the end of the year. Getting jobbed twice in the same year did not help. Being on one-year probation kept us out of a bowl game. That was as good of a defense as we've had. Better than the 1983 team and obviously the 1983 defense was very, very good.
