Can the one guy who was debating me on kehoes expertise please eat crow? I told you he is a zone blocking coach and we need to stop running so much power. Especially if we want to run into a crowded box. Coach Coley is getting on my good side. Finally starting to realize the strengths of his position coaches and players. Zone blocking got duke more yards than he's ever had in a game. I could prob guarantee that 75% or more of our successful runs come on zone blocking. Kehoe is a beast and anyone calling for his job is silly. I'm still on that F.a.g. Train though.... Don't get it twisted.

People think that zone blocking is like zone defense or zone in basketball. It's not. You still have a guy you're responsible for. It's just the terminology they use.

What is this guy talking about? Just a term "they" use? If you mean people that understand zone blocking then I guess your right.
 
Also I thought we have been running a zone blocking scheme and it hasn't been all that successful because our personnel was more suited for a power running style.

No, other way around my man. Louisville game we ran a lot of power blocking, duke got hurt last year against fsu on power blocking. Arthur brown killed us a few years back because of too much power blocking. Manti teo ate us alive because of it and burgess jr ripped Dallas Crawford head off twice in the bowl game due to power blocking. Kehoe can coach both schemes but he thrives in zone and with the style of rbs we get in Sofia they thrive as well. I can almost guarantee that duke does not get hurt against fsu last year if we zone blocked that play. I can give plenty of examples. I been arguing with kehoe haters since he got back to um cuz I understand what it's supposed to look like thanks to my bf and his dad who played and coaches o-lines for 20+ years

Right, they are responsible for the guy in their zone. If there isn't somebody in your zone then help play side and try to get to the second level. It's a entirely different scheme and mindset from man or power blocking, not "just the terminology they use."

Are you still responding? Seems like it got a bit under your skin, and now you're just a bit upset. You can keep on responding to my pointless posts though. While you're at it you should inform Coach Coley about finally getting on your good side I'm sure it means a lot to him.
