yall boys are gonna be in for a rude awakening when we cant put arky st away and if our offense doesn't out shoot them Dorito will lose us this game and the epic meltdown will be unleashed of mopery

Louisville they lose Teddy...but your giving Petrino a year to plan and open up against
Miami...A job he would have loved to have...and this guy is out for redemption...
He will have his team ready...YOU CAN BET ON THAT!!!...
 
petrino will be breaking in a new QB... and I imagine our defense will be better next year...

Petrino vs Golden is the biggest mismatch of the season.

0-1 and out of Coastal contention to start 2014. Now THAT'S a pillar!
 
I'm not sure exactly how good ark state will be this year but they were pretty decent in the past. had some good coaches come out of there including Gus Malzahn who just took auburn to a championship. wouldn't sleep on them at all. and like people said before they are not fcs. i believe they were the best team in the sun belt for what that's worth
 
A-State will throw the kitchen sink at Miami, I can tell you they will spend All off season working on a game plan for us. This team went two to two with Mizzo for most of the game until the last 3 mins. Consider Mizzo would have dropped 50pts on UM's defense. So I believe UM wins this game by 14 pts but it will be a fight when it shouldn't be.

This is going to be a very depressing year for Canes football.. You guys really think Al is going to have this team ready for ANY opponent after what you saw against UL? Arky state is NOT going to lay down.. they'll come in licking there chops at the chance to run up on our D.

They are an extremely well-coached team and we are an EXTREMELY horribly coached team with a head coach WHO DOES NOT WANT TO BE HERE! I agree with the OP and also did with the UL thread.. however, being a realist isn't what most these FANATICS want to hear. I love Canes football as much as anyone on this board and in this world.. but m also willing to admit that we STINK!

This could be a season of epic failure.. brace yourselves.

Now I've been a Canes fan for as long as I can remember and I'm also a student at Arkansas State. We (ASU) have won the Sun Belt each of the last 3 seasons and sent our last 3 head coaches to AU, Boise (Harsin) and Ole Miss (Freeze). Our recruiting has actually picked up through the coaching turmoil and there has been record breaking donations to the athletic programs. We're breaking ground on a new indoor facility and ops building tomorrow. I hope it's a good game this fall and I'll obviously be rooting for the Canes. I just really hope they don't buy out the return game in 2017 in Jonesboro.
 
Also we may not have the greatest talent in the world, but the only constant this team has had over the last few years is it's players. They might play with more heart and more as brothers than almost anyone in the country. Just trying to give everyone more information on a team that a lot of people might not have ever heard of
 
Arky St. will be so far in Doritos and Golden's *** that they'll be able to test for cancer pollups in their respective colons.

Oh it will matter b/c if he loses to ASU he wont make it to 2015. No way the higher ups let Golden keep his job after losing to ASU. That will be the nail in the coffin.
