I was looking at the ultra-early polls and the consensus is we are ranked anywhere from 5 to 9 next year. Do you think that's legit, seeing all the issues we had at the end of the season and some of the players we are losing?

Also, are there any freshman you see coming in that could have an immediate impact and become a starter?

It is nice to see the overall opinion is that our program is headed in the 'right direction but not elite yet' - like we've heard for the past 12 seasons. ;)

Go CANES!!

pope and jordan. and no, i do not believe we will be a top 10 team. Just have to improve in a lot of areas before i can say we are a top 10 team.

The 2018 class is the most day-1-ready class I've ever seen. I see A LOT of guy being instant impact guys. This class eliminates depth issues at WR, RB, and TE alone. Sprinkle in some secondary talent and OL talent and all that's left is for our DL to stay healthy and Perry to be as advertised. WE may not have the depth we would like at DT but the dudes we do have I think will be great. WE can make the playoff.

Lingard, Pope, Hall, Jordan, Scaife, and hopefully (please god) Tyson Campbell are guys that could potentially be impact freshman.

I can see us being a playoff team if we get our QB. If the Qb struggles, i could see us regressing from last year.

I think we're a Top 10-15 team again next year when all is said and done. We do have a chance to outperform again though. I think we are still a year behind Clemson.

I expect us to really make a run at a Top 5 spot in 2019 when QB1 has a year under his belt and the elite WR, TE and RB positions have soaked up the playbook as well. That's the year we establish ourselves as the team to beat in Charlotte.

We will be a top 10 team for sure. And if we smack an always overrated top 10 LSU on National TV we will be top 5 or even top 3 come second week of September.

Jarren Williams, Pope, Jordan, Silvera, Mallory, Lingard.

Depends if Perry gets the job and pans out like we all hope he will. Good quarterback play can be the difference between being top 10 and being irrelevant.

Vegas has us at #10 coming into the season, and that's without knowing who our QB is.
