Are the banners flying for the Pitt game?

Ok it looks like the guy that handled the last banner is MIA. I'm going to go ahead and get involved with the help of another Wezzie.

Those of you that have talked a good game until now, I'm expecting you to contribute once the link gets posted. Depending on how much money is raised we are strongly considering taking out a billboard on US1 instead of the banner since it is likely to garner even more attention.

That way it can be more detailed than a single line of characters. Moreover, it can be linked and emailed around the country to every beat writing in the bidnizz.

The banner is played. ESPN will barely cover it and will spin it like, "Oh the Canes fans are flying banners again. Come get their recruits..."


A Herald article/ad will can potentially come off more intellectual and thought provoking than a banner that will fly over an empty parking lot 2 hours before a game where the attendance will be 32K.

The people that make decisions at UM will see it.

That's all that matters

Not really. It doesn't matter if Blake James and/or a bunch of people on the BoT see the banner, what matters is the public relations effect that ensues. So its all about impact IMO. The message will have larger impact via a Miami Herald ad in my opinion.
 
Just fly them over campus and greentree.... and over Richt's home...

Idea is to put pressure on him to resign..

Buy a billboard on US1 on behalf of CIS... for crying out aloud

It's been over 5 years since I lived in South Florida. Where on US-1 are you talking? Near the school, presumably?

Yeah, only makes sense if we can find a spot near campus. Step 1 is going to be to see how much money we raise. Depending on how much we raise we'll make the call on whether or not a billboard is feasible. Worst case....multiple banners.

It's being worked on now. We've got a point person over on WEZ handling it so I'll post the link as soon as it's live.

Might have to look to where US-1 turns into I-95 for the first billboard. Again, it's been a minute since I've been down there, but Coral Gables was always very strict with the building codes. A nice billboard right around Exit 2 on I-95 would get a ton of views. I'm in.

Appearances is what got us into the last 15+ years mediocrity and nothingness. At its core, being a Cane has zero to do with how you appear, it’s almost 100% about being and accepting who u really are unapologetically.
