AR82 ain’t comin back anytime soon

AR82 is a player that has alot of wiggle to his game, and if he wasn't really ready, his style of play was going to expose that pretty quickly. With knee injuries, guys really aren't back to 100% until they near the 2 year mark. It's taken that much for Cager to come back around.

IMO, coming off of his knee injury last year, we probably should have eased him back into the rotation.

I know I’ll probably get roasted for this, but has anyone seen an actual injury report this week? The optimism in me is hoping Richt is throwing a smokescreen out there and have AR play Saturday.

Yeah just saw that. Said it will be awhile. Sounds like we may get him back towards the end of the year. He had to have done something to his knee that he tore the MCL. There is more to it than a bone bruise.
I think your right. Has to be. More than likely an MCL. That's about the only knee issue that could keep a player out for more than a month without surgery.

I feel for AR. Regardless of when he returns, I expect him back next year. He's not going to be drafted this year with all the injuries he had. He's going to need a full injury free season. He needs a healthy year. Get his degree, ball out, then go to the NFL.

He won’t get drafted if he doesn’t play this year. This isn’t Clowney or some freak of nature like that. He showed as a freshman how good he could potentially be, but there are WR all over college football who aren’t injured this year just like him. He will be back next year.
man i was fired up when Houston got Clowney, him and JJ on the corners, dude aint played 3 games straight since he's been there i dont think, well maybe but he is ALWAYS hurt

If u heard the interview this morning he was asked about JJ and AR82, he gave hope for Jaquan none for AR82, you can tell he was being sincere

Love the positive attitude

He needs to be getting involved ASAP. He and Hightower have the highest ceilings on the roster at receiver outside of Thomas and Richards imo and we have poorly used him and Hightower so far especially with Richards being out...
Pope is likely behind in the playbook. Wiggins is getting more snaps than him. How have we poorly used Hightower? He's had his number called and played well. Every freshman isn't going to be an All-American WR here, especially with how deep the WR room is now.

I would just redshirt him so he has two years left. We will have so many good WRs next year so I'm not even sure if he will be a starter? He will definitely have to earn it.

You are really saying they’ve poorly used Pope and Hightower? Pope came in later and probably is struggling with the playbook and blocking. In this offense you need WR’s who could block or else you won’t play. Hightower has gotten time and will continue to get more.

The always common excuse that he is behind in the playbook.. why in **** all over CFB talented freshman's play and even more at WR and in Miami is that complicated? A route, a bubble screen how difficult is to run a route and get open? Is all a lie, Under MR is like a sabbatical he constantly play upperclassmen that are less talented. Why can't any of our young guys can't field a punt? Why risk your best WR and RB on a blowout again and again? Stubbornness at his best.

They aren’t getting enough opportunities imo, our offense has a higher ceiling with them getting the ball more. Moreover receiver is one of if not the easiest to play at a high level regardless of classification so I expected Them to have more of an impact so far but maybe that will change soon here. I dont Even think I saw Pope out there vs unc

What are you talking about? The coaches have shown that they play whoever is the best and ready no matter if they are freshmen or seniors. Richards, Thomas, Quarterman, Donaldson, McCloud, and Pinckney all got to start as freshman. That is just off the top of my head. People were freaking out over starting 3 freshman linebackers a few years ago. Last year we got so many hype reports about Perry starting as a freshman because the coaches were hoping he would be ready. The players still need to know the play so they can run the correct route, they need to be physically ready, and they need to show they are currently better than the people who have already been playing those spots. Just because someone is more talented and going to be a better player eventually doesn't mean they are going to step on and be physically and mentally better than people 3 to 5 years older than them who have been participating in a higher level of play for 3 to 5 years.
