kid was a 5 star elite recruit. Hate to lose him. Golden is like a dark cloud. wtf. I mean just doesnt feel like this program will be right until he is gone.
Coach L has none of these problems, I dont want to hear a different sport.

This isn't on golden. This is on an administration that has ***** envy and want to show how tough they are on players. They hate the program and players. You can't blame al for this bull****

No, this administration, coaching staff and the product they are giving us is pathetic.
 
Some people are really dense. The victim LAWYERED UP. The victim also went to the student disciplinary council. All outside administration's control. The University will not make exceptions for athletes in this case, nor should they.

A Friday morning update:

### Defensive end Al Quadin Muhammad is no longer enrolled at UM and will not be allowed to play football this season, the school announced today. But he will be allowed to return next semester if he chooses.

UM hopes that he will return to UM next semester but it was not clear if Muhammad will choose to do that.

Muhammad is being punished for a confrontation with a roommate that left the roommate with a broken nose. The incident happened a while ago, and the former roommate has since graduated.

The UM football staff isn't happy with this decision, which was made above the athletic department.

According to a source, the ultimate decision in cases of this kind is vice president of student affairs, Patricia Whitely.

Muhammad told UM that he punched the roommate in self-defense, according to UM athletic department person. There were conflicting statements when witnesses were interviewed.

Al Golden held Muhammad out of UM's first two games.

Muhammad, a sophomore, was a four-star prospect coming out of Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey, rated the nation's No. 3 weakside linebacker prospect and 49th best player overall. He had two sacks as a freshman.

He's the second four-star prospect UM has lost this week (with Muhammad, at least for a semester). Freshman safety Kiy Hester transferred to Rutgers because of a family medical issue.

Completly agree. MAybe this decision will push Golden to leave too because he doens't have the power to get this decision reversed.
 
We all understand repercussions... But in a fight, a **** has the opportunity to defend themselves, and/or decide not to let the situation escalate before getting into a fight from the start. Why is AQM being treated like he hit a girl???

Is his roommate a girl, or just the son of some rich parent???

i am not for bullying but we live in cop caller society now. you get jerkoffs who deserve to get bunched in the face who now sue or call the cops with no shame. i can't stand it. if the kid knocked over AQM son, he deserved a punch.

This is essentially the same punishment D.J. Pettway(D-lineman from Alabama) received after being ARRESTED for 2nd degree robbery in which he and some teammates were involved in beating a couple of students and stealing computers and credit cards from them. He is now back playing with Alabama after a year at JUCO.
 
wasn't it two or three years ago that LSU qb broke a bottle over someone's head at a bar near campus and all he did was sit out one game vs a FCS opponent?

jameis was accused of rape, steal from stores and never got suspended. smh At uf urban meyer didnt suspend guys for felonies. i am not for that but this school is overdoing it.
