i feel like Fedora fits mannys personality more and quite frankly so fla

Gonna be interesting to see if he can go from being HC to OC.

I know the results at UNC got him fired. But the guy seems like a legit leader.

Going from the 1 to the 2 can be a big deal ... Especially when you become the 2 to a 1 that ain’t all that experienced in the position.

Salute to Manny for going for him, though. Going with Applewhite would be infinitely easier, IMO.

If you can count on anything, it's that this website will breed a group of posters for which it's most important to be the first to not like the hire. What Applewhite would do here would pull our offense decades ahead from where Richt left it. Oh, and he's very good with quarterbacks.
If you put a crash test dummy on the sideline as coach it will be an upgrade from Richt. And another dummy will upgrade the QB coach. You’re not really going out on a limb with offense comparison.

This is the man Manny needs to have as 1A with Fedora. Yost preaches speed and space on offense.

Applewhite is great except at producing top 25 offenses as a coordinator.

On a more serious note, this guy is not at all FEDORA! The hire grade will go from an A+ to a C+ real quick. And saying he will be better then richt is just a poor guys words.

****, bro. Stop spending all your time trying to convince US! Put this got **** psychotic energy to good use and get out there on the Phillywebs and start spreading horrific lies about Fedora to everyone and anyone. With all the ******* work you're putting in here, you could have had Fedora eliminated from consideration for other jobs and signed, sealed and delivered to us by now!!

There's your marching orders. If Fedora hasn't signed with Miami by COB Friday, I am holding YOU personally responsible!

Everybody here loves Yost, but he doesn't have the resume some of these others do. He's a tweener for us right now. Too high up the food chain to be our QBC, not quite high enough up it to be our OC, where we really will benefit from having HC experience on the staff.

I'll be happy with either, but only if it means Fedora passed us up for a truly better job. If he passes on Miami OC for Temple HC, I'm going to want some real assurances that we backed up a truck full of money in front of his house and he refused delivery.

If he gets the WVU HC job, then I'm perfectly fine with that.

Some of the other OC candidates are better like whom? Yost is weird yes but the man has been coaching for 24 yrs. His Mizzou teams would drop 40pts on almost everyone and then he went to work for Mike Leach coaching WR's. After that to Oregon. An his Utah State dropped 31 points on Mich State in Lansing.

I do agree it seems Diaz wants someone with HC experience so can just be a CEO of the program while focusing on defense.

I only gave you an indifferent vote on the post because I unfortunately agree with you. And I really love David Yost. Maybe down the road.
But I love that guy.

I'm with you. I'd lose my mind if we could get him at QBC, but I don't think that's realistic. I'd take him at OC if we had an offensive minded HC. But with Manny running the show, I agree with the direction he is taking in bringing in a guy with a depth of both OC and HC experience. Maybe in two years if Fedora/Applewhite kills it here, Yost can be our next OC. This is why I could care less about people worrying about whether our OC hire is going to stay here long term. Who gives a fudge about that? Hire a talented schemer and playcaller that fits what we need right now, win some games, and when the position is open again, find another great mind who fits what we need at that time.

Thanks for clarifying your vote. It's nice to know what the actual thought process is.
