Time to turn the page and think about Saturday's game. Hope the Canes aren't a bunch of mopes like some on this board.

App state has a good ground game and chase actually looked improved. App has a running back from Miami northwestern as well. Now remember this was against ECU who isn’t good

Our fans that week we played and the media had us on “upset alert” which was a total joke. That game was over early

Kinda like they are now?

App State is 28-6 in their last 34 games. Those 6 losses were by 7, 20, 3, 10, 11, and 3 points. I believe our talent will win out in the end, but I'd be somewhat surprised if we win by 3 scores. This team is going to be as jacked up as you can possibly be to come down here, as almost every team we play is. The logo still holds a lot of weight. But Vegas is pretty high on Miami this year, and the line opened at 7 (has since gone to 8). Shows you how much respect they have for App State. I think they'd be a middle of the road ACC team, which is about what we've proven to be recently. If we're an upper tier ACC team, like many of us think we should be, we win the game somewhat easily. But I don't see 45-10 again, that was a really weird game and basically everything went our way.

Isn't that what people were saying back in 2016? "Their team is gonna be jacked up", "we're @ app state, we could be in trouble", etc? Then Mark Walton ran 75 yards on the first play of the game and we smoked them.

We win this game by 30+

App State is a well-coached team that will play pretty disciplined football (at least one offense). Peoples is a solid RB with power who lacks speed and elite traits. Their OL isn't full of special dudes, but they execute their zone blocking scheme pretty well. And Chase Brice looked pretty solid at QB against ECU.

But that defense is subpar and small. I'm expecting this to be more of a 33-17 type of game.
