App State Board

I see no single battle App State should win, so unless we absolutely stink up the joint, this game will be a 3 TD difference, minimum.

Marcus Cox will likely run for around 112 yards. If App can create some short fields via turnovers, that creates opportunities for Cox to score. App isn't going to drive 80 yards five or six times to score TD's against Miami's defense, but if Kaaya continues to struggle in this new system, they may not have to.

May I ask you what you see that Kaaya is struggling with?

To me it looks like he isn't sure of where to go with the ball at times. His first interception last week was because he didn't read the defense correctly, i'm still not sure what caused the second because the camera man was going full ****** and you couldn't really see much. It just looks to me like he is thinking and reacting instead of just going out and playing. Against teams like FAU, that is fine. However when you have a 3-4 defense that is blitzing 75% of the time, it may not be so easy because there are constantly changing coverages where certain players will blitz or drop into coverage on any given play. If he isn't reading the defense within the framework of what the offensive play is, there can be issues.

We need to go deep, speed kills!

Kaaya and the receivers just to show they can consistently play throw and catch at all distances...something they havent shown consistently...

yet...

Miami executes...Miami rolls...

Go Canes. Unleash ****.

Miami coming to Boone is the biggest thing to happen to App State in a decade. The App State fanbase should be thankful and gracious that we bothered to add them to our schedule. We did it so they can get a big paycheck from espn and buy some more methadone for the on campus rehab clinics. But for them to actually think they are going to win is a insult. They are in for a Rude Awakening.

Honestly I think most fanbases tend to be overconfident about how their team will do.

And how many games of Kaaya's have you watched besides the FAU game?

I am not confident in this game at all we should destroy deez bozos but what i seen in two games has me concerned. We should win though but our OL can make teams contend even if there not as talented across the board. Thees a reason bama is dominant that OL.....theres a reason the 00-03 canes were the goat OL never gave up a sack dominant

For Cox to run for 100 yards he would have to have 30+ carries, not going to happen with this D....

Is it not acceptable to support your program via the belief that you can win every game?

There is supporting your program and knowing what it would take to win and there is supporting your program and blindly saying you'll win every game.

Even for as retarded as 90% of this board is, there still tends to be a good amount of times where the majority here knows when we are going to lose. With Fat Al Golden we knew it was every other week just about. We're just now getting used to having actual coaches for the first time since the 90's.

When the team has only lost 3 of it's last 22 or so games, it isn't blindly saying you'll win. When you aren't used to losing, and you aren't used to losing at home, you are going to predict wins.

You've lost 4 out of your last 22 games with losses to Clemson, Tennessee, Arkansas St. (!) and Liberty (!). It depends on the competition. Are you going to predict wins against Alabama, for example? The Canes have more talent than all of your opponents in the last 22 games, except Clemson. Clemson opened a can of whoop *** on you. I have a feeling we will, too.

Who have you beaten that would lead you to believe you "should" win this game? Are you saying it wouldn't be an upset at all if App St. beat Miami?

With the line at -3.5, it would be an upset. I'm not saying App should win this game as it's very clear Miami should. However, App is finally in a position to be competitive with teams like Miami, thus I predict a win. Will my prediction be wrong? According to ESPN, there is a 63.9% chance I am wrong. However, what excitement would I have for tomorrow if I was simply hoping that App played well and can move on to next week.

I'm not concerned about who plays who or in what conference as one win against one team that most people are aware of doesn't matter. Losing to Clemson isn't a big deal because everyone but Alabama lost to Clemson last season, including Miami who doesn't have the mental fortitude to stay engaged and pays for it with a 58-0 drubbing.

Outside of this game, I like to see Miami do well. I've said this multiple times yet no one ever picks up on that. Win, lose or draw, I will be back here tomorrow or Sunday to chit chat about the game and hopefully post some pictures.
based on what? opinions? FOH
