I don't understand why everyone thinks that this App state game is going to be close. If anyone honestly thinks that this game will be going down to the wire, you have no faith in this team.

If Miami does not dominate a team that recently joined the sun belt, why think we will win any game? how can people say "10 wins or bust" and we're saying app state is going to play us tough?

Florida state and Notre Dame gotta alot more talent than app state.

and for all of you saying Brad Kayya is an average qb, he needs work. all players have off days. deshaun Watson has had a tough first few games this year.
testeverde had what 4 intreceptions back in the day against penn state. Tom Brady against the Chiefs in 2014 played awful. Peyton manning has had some bad ones too.
so those qb's are "average" because they had an off day?
of course Brad needs work, even the best players need to improve

Yes.....more redundant threads please.

My left eye is starting to bleed because this is another app thread. On the other hand, you seem to have a much firmer grasp on reality that some people around here.

Only way this game is close, and I mean under 4 TDs, is if we stink up the joint. In order for us to lose we will have to play beyond terrible.

the reason people think it could be tough is b/c of the atmosphere but that's such crap. the talent gap is ridiculously large, people need to stop kidding themselves. brother richt DOES NOT lose these kinds of game - look at his track record. also, i don't the people who are predicting this will be a hard game are the same ones saying 10 wins

Yup, going to overtime with Georgia Southern last season between the hedges definitely shows that Richt is well prepared for these types of games.

Note: App beat Southern 31-13, should've been 31-7 but Southern got a garbage time score.

Not comparing Georgia and Miami here, but it starts at the top.

Lol at dudes complaining about App State threads. They are our are opponent this week. If that sort of thing doesn't work for you, check out Franchise's ticket offer thread.

App State outplayed and wouldve beat TN on the road if not for a lucky fumble recovery.

Yet "fans" like OP think we should win by 40 points easy an anything else is a disappontment.

What a clown

UT played like dog crap, so saying App State outplayed them isn't saying much. App State also couldn't kick FGs or manage the clock with the game on the line. As bad as UT was, at the end of the day App State was worse. App State was only a little less bad 2.5 quarters.

Track record implies history (i.e., multiple games). You are looking at ONE game as an example and saying that Mark Richt is not well prepared for these types of games - that is a faulty argument. Mark Richt, during his career, takes care of games like this where the talent gap is large. I'd argue that QB play is crucial in these games and Brad Kaaya > Lambert. Also, I said he does not lose these games. He did not lose last year to Georgia Southern. Not losing is not equivalent to "being well prepared." Take the Canes -3.5 big. I think we lean heavily on Kaaya to get his confidence back then run the ball down their throats during the second half.
