App State AD apologizes

His letter is very poorly worded & appears to be a weasly attempt to gloss things over. UM should drop anyone from the schedule who would perpetrate such a hoax. Even their band director doesn't know enough to get the color guards out of the way of teams entering the field. Total bush league.

His response:
“I didn’t apologize in the letter, so I wouldn’t classify it as an apology letter,” James said. “If that’s what she wants to go with to allow her to move forward, I’m not going to sit here and argue semantics in the media.”

Basically, he told App State and that girl to kiss his ***, and go **** off.

Its just disgusting that allegations can be thrown out there and a team called scum, and the reason being that its 2016. Im so tired of hearing "it's 2016" SJW's are the best though. It's 2016.

They have locked the two threads that daytonacane and I were on, both times right after it being mentioned that she was afraid of "head locks" as she called dreadlocks. I hope Sophie Randleman, Mariah Martin-Eller, and the rest of the dog chow color guard gets put in a cell for a few days at least to remind them that accusing people of a crime when you know nothing happened is a crime in itself.

The headline in their newspaper, and I am not making this up "KBS Attendance Not Only Record Broken, Boone ABC Sells Nearly $70K of Liquor Friday". Now THAT is how you know you are a hick town, when your liquor sales are your only economic impact.

GoCanes, I intend to write a letter to the President of AppState advising that their AD's apology was lame, plus question if they intend to do anything to Randleman and Martin-Eller, etc. and ask if they investigated what the band director allegedly said about us to the band and color guard. I read on one of the boards a quote by a local Boone radio station reporter from an interview of an AppState "Official" who said this was probably caused by the fact that our players "ran onto the field" and that he has "never seen this". OMG, I couldn't believe what I read and I had to read it 3 times to make sure I was correctly understanding the official's statement. Even the reporter added a comment that this was common practice. As John Wayne stated, "life is hard, but it is even worse when you are stupid". I hope Akron rips them a new one this weekend.

This is a BS apology and should not be accepted by Miami or anyone. This dumb broad needs to understand they are consequecnces for her actions. Lives get ruined all the time because some idot yelled fire; and this also discredits real victims.

The bigger impact of this will be seen the next a player is accused of something (hopefully no time soon) but the stigma left by this will become relevant. this incident will be cited by ESPN and i bet you they will run along the lines of "no one knows what truly happened"..."miami bad boys" blah blah blah

FYI, since when did a football sideline become a safe zone? Seriously hate all SJW's

This, plus I'm bettin this ***** is being completely ostracized in Boone at this point. Having made the school look small, and as noted elsewhere in this thread, probably negatively impacting any near term possibility of getting a Power 5 school to play at their house. We should maintain the 2021 rematch and blast the crap out of em,

Sad thing is that the first story with her allegations is still getting copied and pasted, trickling in syndication across outlets that won't bother to issue a correction. With everything serious going on in Charlotte with the riots etc, forget about CBS covering a correction.

I'd like to issue a correction. Randleman, did not remove her posts, rather she made them private. BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND WITH NO EVIDENCE OR ANYBODY TO CORROBORATE: Sophie Randleman has once again made her Miami allegations public.

I missed the comment where one of the band members calls the publicity incredible. You accuse multiple people of sexual assault and all you care about is how many shares your incompetent flag twirler gets on Facebook?

Besides getting screwed by another team like we did, I'm not sure why any legit teams would play there regardless of this matter.

It worked out very well for Miami. Deservedly, or not going to App and pounding them not only earned Miami some national media respect, it jumped them ten spots in the AP poll.

Dear Dr. Everts:

I am aware that our AD is willing to let this matter go, but I can assure you that a myriad fans and supporters of Miami are still very angry and feel your AD's apology was pretty vanilla and lame in my personal opinion. Have you or do you plan to find out if your band leader made the derogatory comments alleged in Sophie Randleman's post? If he did, do you plan to take any action? Secondly, do you plan to take any action against Sophie Randleman and Mariah Martin who created this issue without any obvious shred of evidence after investigation by both AppState and Miami? I feel they ultimately did far more damage to your institution than to our players. These matters should be addressed PUBLICLY! The accusations were certainly public and very damaging.

I would appreciate hearing back from you.

Right, but there's no reason for any other legit team to bother. Even if app is a better opponent than you could otherwise schedule, there's no reason to go to their house, let them come to you.
