In no world does that combination make sense for a job like Stanford. And if the voters heard that statement they would probably not consider Stanford a serious program either.

I will say this, I think people are sleeping on that Stanford quarterback. He's got amazing arm talent but not much around him. If he keeps playing the way he has the past two weeks, it will be very expensive for Stanford to retain him next season.

The entire Big10 beat one P4 team….Cal. Lost to UMass and should have lost to WMichigan.
Was in a dog fight with Toledo, gave up 26 pts to SJSU and 23pts to UAB.

But we only beat a P4 team by 39 pts.

Title is a bit click-baity. He never said he wasn't impressed with Miami (said quite the opposite) but it was more voters thinking that Stanford is trash and were without important players on top of that fact.

I just looked at their schedule and it's hard to find another win beyond Elon.
