How tf is Pitt ranked ahead of us?

I get they beat Clemson, but they literally gave their Defense the day off yesterday in what could mistaken for a Big 12 audition, and we beat the brakes off of them to begin our season ending 4 game win streak.

Just another reminder that if we ever our to return to the pinnacle of college football, we cannot show any mercy bc they will NEVER give us a break or the benefit of the doubt. We must absolutely destroy, loot, and pillage.

I hope Richt is up to the challenge.

How in the world is Pitt ranked in the top 25, and Miami isn't?!?

According to the AP Poll, Miami is behind FSU, Florida, and USF in the state of Florida.

AP voters must be giving Pitt a ton of credit for those Penn State and Clemson wins.

Not too surprised with Pitt given their wins. We weren't even close to being ranked.

The biggest shock is 8-4 Iowa with a blowout loss to PSU and a loss to an FCS school. Insane that they are ranked.

It's actually as simple as having beaten 2 of the 4. Any 2, really, but especially the FSU game we essentially handed over.

Pitt deserves to be ranked given that they've beaten Clemson and PSU. Good wins are more important than a few losses. Sure we have the head to head, but we have just as disappointing losses with no good wins.

Howard was before my time, I was 5 when Jimmy arrived and didn't know what expectations were. Paul got blown the **** out by FSU.

It's actually as simple as having beaten 2 of the 4. Any 2, really, but especially the FSU game we essentially handed over.

We beat FSU and are 9-3 right now and we are flirting with the top 10. If we had beaten 2 of the 4, we are in the top 10 period. Fans are fans at the end of the day and just can't seem to think objectively. Im happy we are at least 8-4 and on a 4 game win streak, its been a minute since we finished a season this way but I don't get why people are upset let alone surprised that Pitt is ranked ahead of us.

How about LSU with a 7-4 record? There just aren't enough 2 and 3 loss teams so 8-4,7-4 teams with big wins will get the votes. We win a bowl game vs. another 8-4 type team and we likely end the season ranked.


The coastal has 5 teams in bowls and the ACC has 11. The ACC appears to be the top conference this year (6-3 vs SEC, 3-1 vs Big10) so Pitt getting ranked is fine. UNC, Miami, Pitt, VT, GT, FSU, UL, Clemson could all be ranked when you compare them to Iowa and LSU.
