Ap poll being released today

Personally, f_ck anyone's opinion who says, " I don't want to be ranked until we show we can stay there". It's good to start off ranked early because you can move up in the polls quickly. How the **** you think them Sec teams stay in the rankings when they lose or vault up higher with a win...

This tells me you know next to nothing about college football. The SEC (especially the West) gets that type of respect because of the competition in the conference and that division in particular.

Did you follow college football last two years? Except for Alabama, the SEC, and the west in particular, have been embarrassed. Toledo, Jax State, and Memphis are either winning or taking them to OT. That is not a high level of competition.

Don't bother, dude. Nutz here is the ultimate $EC apologist. The ******* child of Finebaum and Booger McFarland.

The SEC has one down year and all you idiots starting pushing out your chest. They constantly put out the best core of teams and push out the most draft picks, yet you guys seem to think they are on the verge of collapse.

The NFL seems to think the best brand of football is played in the SEC. You Miami homers seem to be the only experts who believe otherwise.

Please tell me again how great the ACC Coastal is.

Dude, are you serious? Miami, FSU, Clemson, and ND are 4 of the top 10 colleges with the most players in the NFL. The SEC also has 4 of the top 10 with LSU, Bama, Georgia, and Florida. There is a comparable level of talent from both conferences.

First, ND isn't in the ACC. Please educate yourself.

Second, go back over the last ten years and the SEC, by a wide margin, has had the most NFL picks. Furthermore, SEC players across the board grade out higher in the NFL. Top to bottom nobody compares to that conference.

Lol wow, it's such a stronger point if the SEC has 4 teams and we have 3 5/8 teams.

You realize that comparing draft picks against number of players in the NFL goes against your point that the SEC is not more hyped that they're more talented? You are a confused soul.

Not by a widw margin. I would say the ACC is 2nd to the SEC in draft picks.

Not that wide a margin. SEC is no. 1 over the last 10 years but the ACC is a close second. And remember Miami has been pretty down during that time frame.

Only two rankings matter...

1) the one that gets the Canes into the CFP...and

2) the one after CFP when the Canes run the table and have reclimbed the mountain

Who cares what any poll says in September or Oct...just win all the games...

Go Canes.

LSU is in the right spot. That team is talented and was young last year. Tennessee has to be the most overrated team in the nation.

LOL. Another brainwashed sec honk. LSU is trash.

Well Miami is no where close to as talented as LSU so what does that say about Miami? Miami would get annilated in the SEC West.

Ole Miss Destroyed Bama at home. and a school called memphis with a bunch of two stars,no stars and kids with no offers killed OLE MISS!!! cant make this up. jump off fool

I also love how we are talking about the 2016 preseason poll and you bring up the past 10 years as though they should have some sort of bearing on the 2016 rankings. Your final 2006 poll had the likes of Boise State, Wake Forest, Rutgers, Hawaii, West Virginia, BYU, Boston College, Oregon State and Penn State. So why don't we focus on the past few years instead, and during that time the SEC has proven to have fallen off quite a bit.

I don't mind. We weren't completely forgotten and should move into the polls with a solid win week 1.

We'll get our chance to show LSU what we can do.

LSU has a roster full of NFL players. They lack a quality QB and their head coach is suspect.

Way to change the subject dude.

So which sister-banging SEC fan base are you apart of?

So the poll lists us at 26! Our team has to earn a ranking, once again. Hopefully we END the season ranked rather than BEGIN it ranked.

Please, I rag on the SEC more than anybody. Which is why I point out how overrated Tennessee is. LSU is loaded. They have a young team that quit after losing their first game because they believed their own hype last year. Now, there's a good chance LSU chokes at some point because that's their nature.

They didn't quit. They just weren't very good. They were a one-dimensional team with the worst passing game in football. And their defense wasn't very good either. Once teams started loading up on Fournette it was over for LSU.

There's no doubt they've stockpiled good talent. But what have they done to improve their offense? Same Bo Schembechler clone HC. Same OC. Same shytbag QB.

What's up with the Washington husky's hype they went 7-6 and are ranked 14th in the nation? USC is 20th with 6 losses but they have loads of talent

Still trying to figure out what Louisville has done or has on their roster to be #19
AG did not take a **** on their campus.........oh wait

gots me....it does not matter where we start but rather where we finish...we comin

Go Canes!!!
