If we win our last 4 comfortably, including an impressive showing in Pittsburgh, there would not be much argument for having ND ahead of us. The only reason they are ahead of us right now is because they're playing so much better at the moment, but that would change with a strong finish.

Of course, we're more likely to go 2-2 than 4-0

Its hard to see us beating any team with a competent offense and its not because our defense sucks, its just the way we coach our offense cant score over a certain amount, we play for time of possession, not points.

Exactly. If (they're not going to go 10-2) they win out, they actually have a good shot. Obviously can't lose another game (they will), need other teams to lose, and it'll depend on where Miami is ranked in the first CFP poll. If they're around 18, they have a shot.
 
Miami is not winning its remaining games.

I believe we’ll be in a close game where we pull away in the fourth quarter. Similar to the Stanford game, fell to 35 point spread. I don’t think the Canes cover unless Mario wants to embarrass Fran Brown for last year’s loss Brown’s post game comments. I’d prefer to see Mario and Brown fight each other post game this year. Wouldn’t that be something? Just kidding sorta.

This is followed by three consecutive losses to NC State, where CJ Bailey excels just to spite Miami, and consecutive road losses at Virginia Tech and at Pittsburgh. Narduzzi has a hard on for Miami so he will try to run the score up.

Miami goes quietly into the night of the 2025 season with a 7-5 record.

The dessert is a meaningless bowl game. Maybe the Fenway Bowl in Boston or the Pinstripe Bowl in New York. Any draft eligible player on the team opts out, and a number of players jump into the portal. Dawson is pushed out by that point, or has taken another job. Not sure who would be the interim offensive coordinator, but I don’t think it matters. Depending on the weather, this could be a repeat of the shut out bowl loss to Louisiana Tech at the end of Manny’s first year.

What a bummer….
