No, as soon as other teams figured Him out, TVD sucked. Now some of it was on Dawson, like the NCST game, but most of it was on TVD!!!

Both can be a problem, but I'd put it more on Mario, Gattis, and Dawson.

Love how people say teams figured out TVD, that stuff is so dumb. Every QB has tape out there, it's easy to see what they do well and what they don't. So as a DC you game plan to stop the good, to make a QB and offense to struggle. At that point, it's up to your OC to have a plan in place. We failed him at that.

No, I don't think he was put in a position to succeed. The Jekyll and Hyde gameplanning by this group of offensive dunces is basura. The entire offense is a mess.

Do I think he made bad throws and reads, of course. Did he have much help, player wise or scheme wise, no.

I've said it before and I'll say it again now, there's a dozen high school OC'ers in Texas, nevermind the entire country who could've done more. We were about as inconsistent and outdated as could be offensively. Show me an offense who uses WR's at the line as often as we do. TE's, we couldn't scheme open at all. Tall WR's, let's do anything but throw them the ball when we're in the red zone. We've got idiots or a head idiot dictating things that make absolutely no sense. I can't put all of that in Dawson.

All that being said, tvd was the ultimate turnover machine with no mobility and crap leadership skills

Leadership skills: surrounding the QB you anointed with a fancy shiny OC that doesn’t scheme to his team’s strengths, a QB coach friend of the HC that couldn’t get along with the OC and then played the QB injured… #culture…
