Anyone think Jaquan is gone?

Only person in that secondary that might leave is Michael Jackson (and Dee Delaney graduates)

I think we return everyone at DB and LB and lose the entire front 4 except Joe Jackson, obviously. Probably 50/50 on Norton at this point. McIntosh has played himself into the 1st round.

Naw, has to continue the level he’s playing at nxt year. And GM’s still will probably hold his measurables against. And would really have to test well. I hope he doesn’t get the Allen Hurns treatment.

If Ja. Johnson comes back for his senior year, he will be the defensive captain of a team that will be preseason top 5 with an elite defense. Also, next year, he should be on the "watch" lists for the Bednarik and the Thorpe awards. All of this should be able to boost his stock and cause evaluators to not judge him too harshly on his measurables. The guy can obviously play safety. He is the leader of our defense, the centerfielder of our defense, and comes up and helps in run support. Also, he tackles really well for his size. He's a future pro, no doubt, but I don't think high enough at the end of this year where he would want come out and declare early. Also, I think (and this should be the case), UM players see what has happened with Yearby and may open their eyes to come back and play their senior years.

He needs to show up his Senior Year and make a statement and then he’ll be sought after in the early rounds.

First he gets two Rings, then he gets the money!!!-Tony Montana

He won't. Jaquan's having a phenomenal year. But as others have mentioned, Jaquan doesn't have the measurables that scouts put a heavy emphasis on. Think of Jaquan in the same category as Denzel Perryman (undersized/too short for LB) and you'll see why JJ will be back next year; personally I think he goes in round 3 in the 2019 draft.

It never occurred to me that he would leave early. But after rewatching the game, I'm not so sure. I can see him easily in the middle rounds. He has come so far so fast.

Why does one have to assume that a player is gone as soon as he starts producing as expected?
You know, it's OK to stick around and not all players need to leave before they reach their senior season.

Potentially. Teams currently have him w/a 4th round grade w/potential to slip into 3rd round. Similar to Walton teams have no question about his skills, it's his size an speed that limits him in terms of draft projection, not on field skills, so coming back doesn't do much for either. Will be interesting especially with this year's safety class being trash.

No, but just because of “measurables”. He’s not NFL prototype. This does NOT mean he can’t have a great NFL career, just that they won’t draft him in the first three rounds as a 3 year guy.

cut the "measurables" nonsense, a baller is a baller regardless of "measurables". He will never be a top 3 draft pick if it was only about "measurables"

**** dude. I never said he wasn’t a baller, I’ve been among his strongest defenders on here. I just answered the man’s question honestly. Without elite “measurables”, JJ is best served by playing 4 years and filling that file with game tape. That’s all I’m saying.

#4 is my ambassador of Kwan, man.

He’s 5-11, 180 lbs, according to the roster. Are there any reasonably successful safeties of that size in the NFL?

Probably the best pure football player on the team next to Berrios.
