Cantwell was at RT to end the game wasn’t he or was that someone else?

I would like to see the OL snap counts and where they played.

It’s a mess right now and 100% on the coaches. Maybe after the bye week they will settle on their best 5.

He was at LT. They had Hawks in at RT

Bell had 2 years of development at Holmes Community College and was the No. 1 JUCO offensive lineman in the nation when he transferred to Miami.

So I would venture to guess he was also quite raw as true freshman.

I'd take my chances on playing Congdon and Meriweather on the inside right now. McCoy got off to a ****** start disciplinewise and it just kept on happening. Although I believe that CMU tried to simulate a snap count that the refs called later on. But I'll have to recheck that.

Outside of that... didn't expect these players to not develop at all. Congdon played with fire and was excited to be in there and do work, everyone else... phew.

Congdon also whiffed. However I agree he has always looked like he wants to pancake dudes. He brings an entirely different energy.

I just hate how the coaches wasted all of fall camp messing around with Cantwell at guard. This whole thing has been mishandled from the get go.

Believe i saw Congdons family by the Canes walk. Husband and wife wearing his jersey and Believe someone else also, sister also but no jersey

I don’t think it was mishandled. Offensive line is a developmental position, so I actually think it’s good that he’s getting that experience and learning what the guy next to him is expected to do. That kind of understanding will only help develop his football IQ and make him a better overall lineman.

Remember when half the board said Markel Bell was too stiff because he got beat a couple times? It was crickets when he became the best LT in America.

These guys are a work in progress. McCoy is not perfect but nowhere near my biggest concern.

This was not the year to be a work in progress. When your head coach and his mini get all the credit and trust for the OL, the blame falls the same way.

They misread their room again, then got stubborn about it which has been why the head man has been labeled a meathead in the past.

Our trenches are not where they need to be headed into Clemson.

This was the year to dominate not figure it out as we go.
 
McCoy is the RT and Samson is the LT. You always want solid pass blocking tackles when you have a passer like Mensah. Coaches are working Cogdon and Meriweather in the rotation at guard, and along with Buchanan, we looked much much better against Central Michigan than against FAMU, Stanford and Wake. I saw remarkable improvement against CMU and the possibility and potential for the future is bright. OL is a development position, and we have depth and talent , but we don’t have much experience. I am afraid that Cantwell is behind the others at this time (Like 5 star Samson was as a freshman) but I doubt it will remain that way as his career progresses and he will eventually become an all ACC type player
