I actually like how they abandoned the experiment of Cantwell at guard. He is a tackle all the way.

Neither Congdon nor cantwell can play RT now, imo. Maybe next year but they’re not ready. Congdon tried it vs famu and looked really bad. Cantwell just looks real slow out there in general.

We agree on Cantwell. He needs lower body development (strength; conditioning; flexibility) to really contribute; tends to play high and reaches with his torso.

Cogdon is physically ready; whatever mistakes he makes will be addressed with quality reps. His development-arc can be rapidly accelerated if he started.

But, this thread is about Mccoy and he is not cutting it at RT. He's much better at guard. Our o-line starting line ups and rotations have been confusing at times. We all know there was going to be some growing pains this year, but its week #4 and we still haven't figured it out. We know for sure that SJ, Buchannon, and Mccoy (at RT, not guard) are not it.

So today with backups we saw SJ at Center and Cantwell at OT.
Why did it take 4 games for us to see that?
Why wasn't that the case all summer?

Too bad staff still isn't putting Cantwell at RT given thats where McCoy plays....

Like these decisions are becoming comical at this point to me. I guess we just accept SJ is our starter. SJ will be at minimum our rotational guard all season. I'm sure of it at this point.
