Anyone that's defended McCoy

To me the question is more of where would you rather have your weakness and which fringe guy has more growth potential.

McCoy outside and SJ/ Buc inside. Harder to have help on the inside besides inserting the RB. SJ is def a low ceiling type, so I don’t see much potential for improvement.

McCoy inside and Cantwell / Hawks outside. Those two have very high ceilings, but need improvements, Cantwell esp with pad level. Easier to put a TE to help, plus RB can always help too.
 
Ima trying to stay patient that the staff knows more about OL than i do. They have been stellar for 3 years. But the returns so far....not good. Dont play favorites and Seniors like Dabo.
 
In spring Cantwell was, by all accounts, doing well at LT while Samson out. But then in fall they move Cantwell to RG when Samson comes back and takes the LT spot.

In the past, you put your best tackle at LT and 2nd best at RT.

Honestly, I think Cantwell should be at RT and then you let McCoy battle with Buchanan and Congdon for G snaps. I got a feeling that McCoy might struggle with that competition.
