That's how kids are these days mainly due to social media.

Talking to different coaches in Dade and Broward they all say social media and dudes transferring from high schools is one of the things they hate most.
Kid from the West transfers to central but grew up and knows everyone around the West. So when Central plays NW it's like "oh let me go say wassup to my old homeboys"

Coach said Today's kids don't have those school to school rivalry the same way the had them back in the day. Kids are kicking it and are best friends with guys on the opposing team. Riding a bus to a game kids are on the phone. After a loss they want to go high five and dap up their boys. Then get on the bus like they didn't just lose the game.

That's crazy because when I played ball if we lost a game it was silent and everyone was ****ed off for the whole night. Guess they don't make kids like that no more.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of intimidation. You don't have to be like the idiots at the BYU-Memphis game but some attitude makes it a lot more fun to watch.
