Anyone remembers Wes Brown?

Sure it does. Anybody who picks another school over UM will end up exactly like some other kid who didn't pan out. The very fact of NOT choosing UM sealed the kid's fate. How's Valentine doing these days? Keef? See, it's science.

Gotcha. Now it makes sense. And any kid who picks UM, will end up being a perennial pro-bowler.

Hmmm more pro bowler - Miami or Maryland? Let me do some research...

Yes, who has more pro bowlers should be the only thing a recruit cares about. It sucks the kid isn't coming, but it's immature to take recruiting personally.

Dude - i don't care if he comes or not. Losing One player is not going to make a difference. However, as a recruit if you want to make it next level, you don't go to Maryland. Go to Alabama, Miami, USC etc. You have to make a business decision if you know what I mean...

First, you should care that the kid isn't coming to Miami that's not good for us. Second, sometimes it's business sometimes it's not. If it were in this case sure, Miami is the smart choice. For this kid it seems to be about feelings for the home team. Or his dad's getting broke off. Whatever.

In summary, sucks for us but we'll be ok.

Stop. Whatever happened to Wes Brown, has nothing to do with McFarland or what will end up happening to him. Nothing.

You are absolutely correct. Sucks he did not come here, but hope the kid has success. We get some and lose some, regardless, I don't rot against any 17/18 year old kid for choosing a school. Maybe be so his family could watch him and don't have the funds to fly down here for every home game. Who knows, but comparing him to another kid who's career didn't pan out is really dumb.

Brown was connected to a June 2013 incident where he drove a suspect away from the scene of a shooting in Baltimore. When questioned by Baltimore police in College Park about this incident, Wes Brown allegedly shoved a police officer. He was arrested for felony wiretapping, theft and assaulting an officer. Following this conduct, Brown would be suspended for his sophomore season at Maryland.

However, the bad luck kept coming for Brown. In the midst of his suspension from the team, a search warrant affidavit in March 2014 released that a loaded handgun, drug paraphernalia, and a bag of ammunition were found in his possession.

2015 - tumultuous season following the firing of coach Randy Edsall, it is shocking, saddening and disappointing to see Brown forced to the sidelines again for violating the school’s code of conduct.

2016 - Maryland senior running back Wes Brown has been suspended for the first three games of the season for a retroactive violation of the school’s student-athlete code of conduct last November.

"Bad luck." ****, what's the dude have to do to get kicked off the team?

I'm not here to wish good luck to kids that go to other schools.

Miss me with the Mother Teresa sanctimonious bullshīt.

If you want to get all teary eyed and sensitive, then why not do it it for at least our guy, George Brown, who was lied to and straight up conned by this punk and his grifter dad.

Brown and the staph erred by placing all their eggs in one basket, Brown also screwed up by actually trusting that pudge and his dad, but there's no denying that up until a few days before NSD, he was being told it was 100% solid.

Personally, I'm not butthurt at all, I think his soft feminine character has been revealed, so we dodged a bullet. But I'm not wishing syrup bottle luck.

Maybe homeboy wants to go to UMD because, unlike Miami, you can't possibly get kicked off that team. That dude was an accessory to attempted homicide and assaulted a cop, and get this...wiretapping...and got to stay on the team. I'm not criticizing Miami for booting dudes, I think they should be held responsible for their actions and not putting the team first. I just wish other teams operated the same way.
