Anyone not wanting Kelly or another transfer is clueless

Ppl don’t want him becuase quality of player isn’t the problem it’s the coaching. And he isn’t good enough to fix it on his own.

Unfortunately we need another body and Richt hasn't seen fit to get one from HS so here we are.

How did he do in last year's acccg?
Imo Bryant he has the traits to be really good, great size and he has a powerful arm and is fast. Pretty accurate too. Didn’t put it all together last year but i saw enough and how accurate he could be when we played them

Bryant sucks. But due to profound incompetence in evaluation, recruiting, and development, we need a body. Handing Bryant the jerb would be further corching malpractice. Any QB that fears competition with Bryant is also incredibly weak. A QB that fears that a corch might hand it carte blanche to Bryant suggests that the team does not trust the staff.

Can you really blame the staff.
We don’t know what tf is going on in that locker room.
Kids dropping from the recruiting class and the transfer rules making it easier for kids to do so.
Other schools Promising all kind of lies and kids buying it.
Makes sense to get a kid on to compete.
Makes sense to get a kid on that knows the playbook of the best team in the conference.
Makes sense to get the kid that is probably holding a grudge against the school that you might face in the season or in the acc game if your good enough.

Disagree.

I’d rather be LSU or Michigan than so many of the other schools who sat on iffy QB(s) hoping for maturation/growth and watched as the entire team regressed (sound familiar?).

Nope. Get me a solid grad transfer and HELP THE PROSPECTIVE TRANSFERS PACK like Orgeron and Harbaugh did.

Also, I don’t think Bryant is the right guy.

LSU is not winning because of their QB. That guy is average.

Nope. Bryant's a better version of Rosier. Which, if that's the barometer for you, than I don't know what to tell you.

A lot better version. If Malik played a little better we'd be undefeated. We have three dudes that can't beat Malik on the roster now but you don't want someone who can to transfer in?

Coach gets fired for not being good so we hire him. Player essentially gets fired from his job so we went him as well. Sounds like a match made in happen. What could
Poisbible go wrong.

You're still going by the staff's words and actions that no one could beat Malik out. That's cute. Perry's play, although not perfect is better than what we've seen from Malik.

If it was a real competition to begin with after the season last year and the other qbs were afforded opportunities like malik performing with the #1 offense vs number 2 defense them in the spring or fall camp I doubt Rosier would have beat any of them out

Worst case scenario is he comes in and raises the level of play from the back ups and one of them beats him out. It is about building depth and competition with quality players, if the other don't like they can beat him out.

EPIC SPOT ON....

This how football and life is played!!!!!

You have the right to compete and succeed in every way.

You have to right to fail in every way.

Free will to choose......

I've never ever fired anybody who hasn't fired themselves or got a HUGE DESK type promotion way before they get to my office.

And all of the media reports out of camp consistently had Malik practicing with the 1's despite it being a "QB competition". I always laugh when people keep saying that Williams/Weldon/Perry couldn't beat Malik out. They were fighting an uphill battle with Richt's approach. Kosi had 1 bad quarter and Richt pulled him with the quickness. Meanwhile, the only good games Malik had were against Savannah State and Toledo.

The same people that don't want Kelly or any transfer are the ones that say Richt is stubborn, there is no downside to bring in a quality senior QB. If one of our QBs don't like it then they can beat him out and if they get their feelings hurt and transfer then good riddance because they weren't going to be stars anyway.

It's paragraphs like this that make me give Richt the benefit of the doubt when it comes to how he handled the Rosier-Perry mess. Perry admitted he had no clue how to watch film when he got here and all indications are he didn't kill himself learning when he got here. If we are hearing this from him game 10, that should raise some red flags.

----------------

Perry has been “watching a lot more film’’ and studying a lot more, he told reporters after practice. “Not just in the facility but on my own,’’ though he also said he has been getting others involved in the process.
