Takes an incredibly weak person for weed to ruin your life. There is no physical addiction. There's no withdrawal. If it becomes a problem, just stop for crying out loud. It's easier to quit than an overweight person ditching crappy food.

I smoke more or less daily. If I don't in any given day, guess what? Life goes on. No big deal.

It has had neutral to positive impact on far, far more people that it has ruined the lives of. If you're STEALING to buy weed... that's not an addiction. You're just a weak person with no self control.
there’s nothing wrong with smoking but to say there’s no effects of smoking 24/7, especially on a developing brain is naive. I know what I was saying is antidotal but I know some people have seen what I’m talking about. Like I said it depends on the person maybe they’re weak minded but there are people who literally can’t function without that **** or even dab with oil because they want to get zooted or their tolerance is too high.

I’m 22 and I think if you smoke weed daily you gotta reevaluate your priorities (referring to my people my age) if you’re your own adult then do whatever tf you want. But that’s you, I used to smoke a lot in highschool and it really didn’t effect my school or sports performance but again that was me I really do feel like it does effect people mentally ... not to the extent of where you gotta steal stuff to support a thc habbit

The way this 2018 season has gone, it will play out like this...Perry suspended. Jarren gets the start and plays well. JW Dad convinces him to transfer before spring ball.

Look I’m not saying there’s nothing wrong with smoking but I’m just saying to say there’s no effects of smoking, especially at a young age is naive. I know what I was saying is antidotal but I know some people have seen what I’m talking about. Totally agreed about impacts on a developing brain. But we also can't understate the societal impact as it relates to "weed culture" and how, for people something like 15-20, getting really really stoned all the time is almost like a competition.

I had a friend, Miami alum, who is now an ER doctor. Dude would get obliterated drunk then go take a final the next day, no problem. Ended up at NYU med.

Some people can handle themselves and some people can't. It becomes very difficult to dissociate the drug with the personality of the person, and using the drug as an excuse to not have their $#!+ together.

I've never done the wake and bake then go to work (sans very not-serious jobs, and very rarely). I get up, I go to work, I operate at a high level. Then I go home, smoke a bowl or two, relax and do it all over again. It's different for different people.

The issue I took, and the genesis of all this, was some clown saying that anyone who does drugs in a liar and a cheat because they experienced one person who did drugs and behaved poorly.

I won't stand for that kind of ignorance. Especially now that science is proving the extensive medicinal benefits of marijuana.

Question for you redshirt experts - Can JW play in the bowl game and still use this as a redshirt year? Has he played in 2 games or 3?

Yes, but we desperately need a graduate transfer. Someone who has been developed already because as we all know Jon Richt is not developing any qb ever in his lifetime

Perry has shown a consistent characteristic - to **** up.

Having someone like Perry - is like having intermittent wipers - due entirely to an electrical short.

If you can't count on him - then you can't count on him.

You don't need a parachute to skydive.

You need a parachute to skydive the second time.

And third, etc.

SMD reported that Perry is traveling with the team so is not suspended. If this is an old video and it was already known by university and dealt with, why is Perry going to be reprimanded again???

The first sentence of your post reads like you were high af writing it.

I never ever met a person who took or takes drugs that wasn't a liar and a cheat , even my own daughter robbed me many times till forced to rehab lock down 90 days minimum and now all clean a year now and working.....
I hear what you are saying but everyone is a liar and a cheater to some degree

LMAO dude. I'm sure you're happy to pop prescription drugs though.

This thread is about smoking weed. Not meth, heroin, cocaine, etc. I've never met anyone who's had their life ruined by weed who wasn't a total f-up to begin with.

You're throwing stones from a glass house calling me ignorant. I've smoked weed daily for years, put myself through college at THE U and have had numerous high-level corporate jobs. I've also tried several other psychedelics, never got hooked on anything and never had it negatively impact my life.

The world-wide epidemic is ignorant, ***-backwards, religious right bible-thumpers like yourself who actually believe the stigma of the war on drugs, and conflate any drug with ALL drugs.

But what would I know I probably just have reefer madness.
Why do you assume he is a bible thumper?

I tried to ignore this and stick to football, but some of you don't know what you are talking about. Marijuana can and does ruin lives. Most people are good with it, just like most people are good with drinking. But some are not. It doesn't take meth or coke to ruin family's. How do I know? Because my 17 year old son is currently doing 90 days in Palm Beach Gardens at a facility. My 2 daughters and my wife (all of whom he stole from to buy weed) would disagree with "pot doesn't ruin families". The sheriff's office here and South Carolina would disagree too since they arrested him for it and he spent 11 days in jail over Thanksgiving for it ... and got high the day he got out and the morning we took him to rehab. And he wasn't a train wreck before it. He was a D1 level soccer recruit who would have been signing a LOI in Februray, but will now be finishing up his stay and trying to get his life back together and just graduate HS. And for nothing more than pot. I know just pot because he has been tested more times than Josh Gordon. My point is most people are good with whatever they put in their bodies, but some people can't deal with it period. Maybe Kosi is one of those dudes and he just can't put it down no matter what.
Back to football ...
There is nothing so tempting in this world that man does not have the willpower to resist it. Of course, once you get started with the vice it becomes much more difficult to let go.

I find it incredibly disingenuous that every one in this thread claiming the devils lettuce isn't addictive starts by saying "I've been smoking week every day for 20 years"
