Anyone hear anything on this?

For the life of me, I just can't understand how any business spends more than $10 million on football coaching salaries and shows these kind of results. In my world, if someone makes a $10 million mistake, they won't last long but I guess it's different in the University's realm.

Where have you been the last ~15 years?

My Prediction:

1. Blake James gets fired.

2. CMR returns, but is put on notice. Minimal changes made to the coaching staff.

Signed,

Peruche

I would actually be pretty good with this. Cut out the main problem first, let the new guy come in and evaluate things in the football program over the next 12 months, then fire MR after 2019 implodes.

Because the ACC rewards membership/participation, not results. That revenue sharing is a double-edged sword.

I don't see an "emotional" decision being made immediately. It may take several more days for the dust to settle and all parties involved to have their say into what happens next. We have seen decisions made immediately in similar situations, but if decisions haven't been made by now, it tells me discussions are ongoing. Lots of variables to consider in this situation.

No disagreement there but on what planet is this performance acceptable? I don't care who you are, wasting $10 million on this kind of performance should not be accepted.

And now with the ACC Network coming online in 2019, there should be no excuse at all for not hiring a top athletic director and football coaches. Conference payouts, media rights (including new ACCN), and the Adidas contract should be all that is needed to take us to the next level.

Which is most likely why things have been so quiet.

Richt is a proud man, does not like criticism.
We have found out he is very stubborn.
He is also a family man and very religious.
As we have all seen, his demeanor has changed the last few months, what started out as being fun is not fun anymore for him and his family.
He hears the criticism and his family and friends hear it as well, social media can be very cruel.
I think he is done and will retire with a negotiated settlement.

Is that the same Island Canes who pretended to be a hot chick on here and trolled a bunch of you poor ********?

To me this whole situation also is telling of what kind of man Lil Richt is. Everyone knows he’s a large part of the problem. If I were in that same situation and knew that I was a big reason for my fathers failure I would’ve quit a long time ago.
